Sweet story about how Santa helped a freezing, little bird by letting it tuck into his warm beard. Of course, much more happens, before the end of the story.

Jeffery wrote the book, and then spent six years trying to get it published. He decided to self-publish, and he, and his wife, sold 10,000 copies within six months. Then publishers sat up, and took notice! Mitten Press in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, published this book, and a second book, The Bump on Santa's Noggin: How Santa Almost Forgot Christmas.

A cute Christmas story that explains why we see so many different Santas during the holiday season. My daughter was not a fan of the photographs, but I thought they made a nice change from the usual illustrations found in picture books.
