So the final published volume, for which I actually read the final three volumes, two of which are yet to be published finished this series of oh so much promise but limited delivery on art and plotting. The foreshadowing of this weak ending was in the previous nine volumes with the creators possibly due to cancellation force to rush finish this series? I get the basic ideas to share, but they were so awkwardly and ineptly shared! 5 out of 12, Three Star read, and yet another weak manga reinforcing my belief that overall American graphic novels are superior despite the sales of Manga far out reaching the Americans'. For these final three volumes (10 to 12), a 5 out of 12, Two Stars. 2024 read
"Last volume!" Except... not really. The ending is literally a non-ending that leads into the next series. Not necessarily a cliff-hanger, no, but definitely the kind of ending that leaves you feeling like the entire 10 volumes you just read only served to set the stage for another, different manga... that you are now expected to also read.
Considering I read this on Kindle Unlimited, and the next series isn't available there (or anywhere in the states as of yet)... I'm left with a non-ending. Meh. I'm not interested enough to either wait for a US release OR seek out scanlations. I'll just end it here and be vaguely disgruntled.
Well... This ending is no ending it's just a cliffhanger for another series/manga. To be honest with you when I got to the part that they jumped/fell from the building and supposedly were dead, I liked it, despite having doubts about their death, that was an ending I would understand and be happy with. Of course I thought of the possibility that they would be alive and that wouldn't be bad if it had a decent ending or if there were other volumes and not a new manga. But honestly I'd rather that they were dead and Rudiment joined Cid because they found the cure, like they did, and that was all. I'm a bit disappointed, the reason I give 3 stars and not 2 is because I really enjoyed these last chapters, except for the shitty ending... 🙃

Almost fine. 2.5 / 5 Overall for the (not really whole series) -- I know it's aimed more at tweens/teens, so take that bit o' salt.
For the most part, it spends a little bit too much time vacillating on whether it wants to be fully stupid or try to take itself a little bit seriously. Unfortunately, it just never really fully commits, but it definitely is best when it is at its stupidest. The beginning and end* are the worst, but the middle is proper silly. Otherwise it's about some mysterious disease? that gives people superpowers (based on what people praised them for?) and turns horniness into violence mixed with a battle between neurodiverse people. Well, some people don't seem to have any superpowers even when they're infected.. because they don't.
Some things in this include: -An incel with the power to turn other people into incels -Super good eyesight that also makes you good at fighting -The ability to cut everyone up with hair and also hold together a car.. with hair -Shooting literal lightning bolts from an electric-shock scar -The power to use fighting game combos (not infected) -Having no emotions (kind of) also comes with super strength and super eyesight (not infected) -Evil cyborg wearing a winter beanie -Evil John Lennon looking cult
Art and paneling are okay, but the character designs are fairly dull and occasionally hard to tell apart. Still, there are a lot of funny pages that are great to take out of context. There’s also more, but the official English releases cut off here as of the time of this review.
That was a pretty fun yet open-ended conclusion to this story. Overall, I'd say this was a 4 star series for me. The storyline is really unique and had my interest from the start, but the pacing was a little off for me and I found it was really easy to set down most volumes and go long stretches before picking them back up. It wasn't until the last couple volumes that I found it hard to put the books down. Not a new favorite, but I really enjoyed it overall. Read for free with Comixology Unlimited.
I did enjoy this series. This is my first manga I have read so for my first I liked it. The ending did not feel like an actual ending tho. And I felt like they were lacking something I’m not sure what but maybe once I read more manga I’ll know what it is. Whole series combine I would say 3.75 rating. But each one I liked different on their own.
So this series definitely ended on a cliffhanger and yet closed the story at the same time. This last book was better than the previous 2, but I would definitely read more of these series. However, I don't think they will be coming out with any more volumes as the last book was published in 2019.
the most interesting characters were the blonde girl that turned into samara type of thing at the end before jumping off, the psycho girlie and the one who could bend blood and they wasted all of them so who tf cares
I'm at a loss for kinder words. They make you go through so much to get an ending that cheats you of any payoff then slap you with a non ending... Then series over thanks for reading. Seriously?
