If you'd like to know a little bit about Texas in the mid-1980s this is a nice collections of vignettes, interviews, and story-telling about various places and people. Roy Orbison, Ross Perot, and Buddy Holly are here along with stories about Ft. Worth and Dallas, The Adolphus (a hotel) and Adair's Bar and Grill.

There's hominess, humor, and sometimes a wistful sadness.
