Hunter's Haven #3

Left to Chance

Rate this book
Micah

I don’t believe in love - or shifter dating apps. But when calling out my YouTube rival for his promo of Mates.com leads to a friendly, competitive livestream, I’m prepared to put my money where my mouth is and sign up to prove that it’s all a load of hogwash. I just didn’t expect to be paired with him.

Aiden

I’m surprised by how well Micah and I get along off camera… and how compatible we are between the sheets. Fated mates, as it turns out. There’s just one little problem: I’m willing to embrace our status as mates. And Micah isn’t.

Left to Chance is a standalone mpreg shifter book featuring two wolf shifters who always have to be right, a very public break up, and of course, a HEA sure to make your heart swoon. This book and every other book in the Hunter's Haven Series can be read in any order.

This is my favorite book in the series so far... and the reason for that is simply Aiden and Micah. There two are also my favorite main characters so far. Micah had gone through a lot growing up and it made him feel unlovable. So much so he almost lost Aiden. I felt for him, yet if he had just been able to talk to Aiden and tell him the truth upfront we could have been spared the angst. Thankfully that part took up a very small part of the book! Overall this was a pretty awesome book, with plenty of feels (made me cry a time or two), more than enough hot naked times (with knotting of course!) and two guys that I really loved.

This was an enemies to lovers romance. Micah and aiden were rivalries and both were competing against one another to get the most subscribers on their channel. They bother worked for the same gaming company and decided to work together to talk about the company's new matchmaker app and didnt expect it to go so well. They dont only find themselves getting along but also find themselves drawn to one another and the app matches them just as more proof that they should give this thing between them a chance and then something else happens that will change everything. This was a fun and sweet read that deals with a complexed character who due to his past doesnt think he deserves to be loved or that he is worth it but maybe he just needed someone like aiden to come around to prove him otherwise. I read this one pretty quickly even though I found it to a be a bit slow in the begging but once their friendship progressed into something complicated the story started to puck up and helf my attention for the remainder of the book because I wanted to know how things would end for the couple. I've enjoyed this whole series so far and enjoy reading about past characters from previous books as well.

I liked this story up until we got to the miscommunication issue. The way Micah handled things made me really not like him (and feel really sorry for Aiden). I could understand him being afraid of the relationship not working long-term, especially as he didn't have a good basis for a loving connection growing up, but instead of being an adult about it and talking to Aiden he blindsided Aiden with his reaction. I'm not sure his apology was enough either (though he clearly was putting some effort into it). Honestly up until that issue, I was liking how Aiden and Micah had just a bit of a rivalry going, but clearly had a connection. I was liking the banter between them, and the discovery of their connection.

What started out as friendly banter and challange son became seriouse. Micah was a bit annoying and an jerk to Aiden after he found out they where mates. Micah both wanted Aiden and wanted to push him away. Aiden went into the "relationship" with hope of a future together and is in love with Micah. Micah hurt Aiden a lot. I felt sorry for Aiden after the way Micah acted but it is a good story.

so much feels and angst hereeee aaaa.

i felt so much pain for Aiden here. i think Micah was too easily forgiven, i wanted him to grovel more bc but it felt like Aiden got played through out. but i guess in this series, its more of "love" winning over anger and hurt.

(also all the alphas in this series are just abit harshhh about love eh. and then the omega easily forgives them sighpie)

also finally a baby boy!!!!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Hunter's Haven series. In this book, Aiden is an omega who runs a gaming site on the internet and is in competition with Micah, an alpha who runs his own gaming site. They are both close to having 10 million followers and Aiden wants to be the first to reach it. Aiden comes up with the idea of rating Mates.com, the dating site created by his friends and owners if Infinity games. Micah sees the video Aiden posted about Mates.com and comments, leaving Aiden to ask him to join him for a debate about the dating app. Micah believes the app con't find your fated mate and they decide to talk about the dates Aiden goes on and debate if there is a connection made. Eventually the fans tells Micah he should join the site to have a real experience with it and he agrees. Both Aiden and Micah are shocked to be matched with each other as possible mates. They agree to date and video it for the fans. Aiden feels a connection to Micah, but Micah is still a little distant. Micah has issues with his past that makes him think the connection with Aiden won't last and they will end up apart. I really liked this book, I liked Aiden, i thought he was funny and sweet. I think Micah needed to realize he was worthy of love and he could love too. I thought they had great chemistry and i think they had a lot in common and made for entertaining banter about their sites. Good one.

This one is a delightful addition to the series. The theme here is something quite different from the prior books, but following the trope of gaming and dating among the little shifter community.

I loved this (sort of) rivals to lovers tale; the development of which, unfolds largely on the air by means of YouTube for the world to see.
I absolutely adored Aiden... So patient. So sweet. So forgiving!
(I did, however want to take Micah and bash his head against the wall!)
I so enjoyed the banter between these two and I love that Mates.com really works... 😂 Say what you like!

This is a pretty straightforward, easy read.
Well developed and engaging characters, and well written intimate scenes, of which there are several.
I must say, I am enjoying this author's work more and more.
Highly recommended.

Each book in the series works perfectly as a Standalone, (as prior characters are introduced, a bit of their history is recapped so you never feel like you're missing something).

Heat level around 4 flames. 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
Limited Profanity.
No violence and no baddies in this story.
Angst level around 3 punches.

Micah doesn’t believe in love and he certainly doesn’t believe in dating apps. When he calls out his YouTube rival out about a dating app, he has to put his money where his mouth is. He signs up with Mates.com as part of a friendly little wager.

Aiden is so close to reaching 10 million YouTube subscribers. Unfortunately so is his rival. When an opportunity comes along to have a friendly little wager with Micah he’s more than willing. He’s more than a little surprised by how much he and Micah get along off camera.

Things progress between them. They’ve got great chemistry behind the scenes and between the sheets. It turns out they’re fates mates. As much as Aiden is willing to accept it, Micah is having a harder time facing that fact.

Every story in this series just gets better and better. I loved Aiden and Micah’s chemistry. I’m looking forward to the next one.

What can I say about this book? It pulled me in from the beginning. Left to Chance, book three of the Hunter’s Haven series, is a fantastic story. I truly enjoy how each set of characters in this series approach the central theme, a mate matching app, in such different ways. In this story, we have Micah and Aiden who are both very popular YouTube gamers who each have a rivalry with the other regarding who will reach a benchmark first. After challenging each other in regards to the Match.com dating app, and agreeing to vlog their experiences on their respective channels, the fun begins. Note to the wise - live streams can be dangerous!

The differences in life experiences and perspectives for Micah and Aiden might cause things to go sideways, but not to worry, fate will have her way.

Aiden Anders runs his own gaming channel and is in competition with one run by Micah Hendricks.
Omega Aiden Anders makes videos about the latest games to put on YouTube running his own channel and is getting close to ten million followers but so is his rival Alpha Micah Hendricks. He comes up with the idea to cover something new a dating app. which has been created by the gaming giant Infinity run by his friend Garrett. Mates.Com appears to be a normal dating app. but is known to the shifter community as a site that helps you find your fated mate. This turns into a challenge between Aiden who supports the idea of a dating App. and Micah who does not think they are any good but as things hot up things come down to a personal level. A MM MPreg romance to relax and enjoy.

Micah doesn’t believe in love and shifter dating sites, Aiden is Micah’s competitor on You Tube and Micah leaves a sarcastic comment on Aiden’s site. Aiden and Micah are nearly both on 10 million subscribers and Aiden comes up with a challenge for Micah and that’s to join Aiden’s mates.com site his subscribers tell him to do it so Micah does. They are both shocked when Mates.com matches them both up and Aiden is willing to give it a try so they go on a date and they find out that they are fated mates but Micah is very reluctant to go further with Aiden. So can Micah let all of his anxiety go and take that leap of faith with Aiden or will Micah run?. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Aiden is an omega and has his own You tube channel. Aiden is trying to get ten million subscribers before his rival Micah does. Aiden takes video and interviews his best friends Garrett and Carter regarding the new Mate.com app that came out. Micah is an alpha who does not believe in the Mate.com app, he does not believe in love at all. Micah was left by his parents and the pack he was left with was not a good fit for him either. Micah agrees to sign up for the app and it turns out that Aiden is his true mate. Micah hurts Aiden by dumping him while the are live streaming. Can Micah fix this. Is there a happy ending for Micah or is he dommed to be alone?

Aiden and Micah are rivals in an on line competition to see who will be the first to get to 10 million viewers on Youtube. Until Aiden adds a link to Mates.com - and Micah comments, which leads to them getting together to see if the algorithm actually works. But what happens when Aiden is overwhelmed by his feeling, Micah is too - but Micah refuses to accept what it means. Will they be able to work it out? Or will two hearts be broken?

well, the boys were more rivals than strictly enemies - but otherwise, the are charming rivals to lovers - to true mates

their drama around the Mates.com app, which was just a dating app for normals, but a place to find your true mate for shifters

somehow, that rare type of match was more than biology, as some try to reduce it - and undefined something that allows the partners to connect in elemental ways

and these two have chemistry in spades - in a yummy way

steamy KU read

Micah and Aiden are YouTube rivals who make a bet that sets them on a rollercoaster of an adventure. They have similar interests and find themselves really enjoying their time together. Their electric connection leads to some highly passionate encounters. However, personal issues begin to interfere, causing epic heartbreak. Following their journey is entertaining and emotional but leaves you smiling and feeling good with their sweet HEA.
I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

This is a fun and sexy rivals to lovers story. Micah and Aiden are YouTube rivals who come together to either prove is disprove the validity of a dating app. To their surprise they're matched on the app and as they get to know each other, sparks fly and the attraction in undeniable. But Micah doesn't believe in love even when it's staring him right in the face so it's definitely a bumpy ride for these 2 to get to their HEA! The narrator did a great job with this one, I love his character voices.

Aiden & Micha are rival on y tube, the have competitive gaming channels. Then a review of a dating Web sit puts them in the middle of a bet.
This is the story of the bet, and how someone can believe something so much that they can make it happen. Then relive that what they believed was wrong and have to a just their thinking.
A good story that keeps you waiting to see how it will end.

So cute! I loved the little rivalry between Micah and Aiden and their battle to see who would reach 10 million subs on their gaming channels first. Their banter was very cute and believable, it was very enjoyable to read. And I loved their idea to have a debate about the Mates.com app and then chronicle their experiences and dates when they got matched.

Great addition to this series!

Aiden and Micah's story is fun, full of chemistry, nerve racking, heartwrenching and finishes with a spectacular HEA. Their story is told beautifully and you get to catch up with all the other couples from the previous stories in this series. You also get a glimpse of what I hope is the next book, Liam's story.

Okay Micah and Aiden! So so so in love with these two. Rival YouTubers, gamers, and fated mates? Why the heck not?!

They didn’t know what was coming when they started this challenge but it soon turns into the beginning of forever. But Micah won’t let it be that easy and they will have to fight to get their happy ending.

You will love these two and there happily ever after.

An interesting twist on fated mates with use of online technology and everpresent mobile apps. I loved the uniqueness of the story, but even more - I loved the MCs, with all their hangups and emotions on clear display. The book really pulled me in and was a great page turner.

Micah and Aiden are online gamer rivals, each vying to increase their viewers. Aiden posts a review about Mates.com, and Micah cannot stop himself from commenting. Their rivalry is awesome and their attraction evident, even to their viewers. Micah is not ready to believe in mates nor can he express what he is really feeling. The concept of this story was interesting. I've never read a story about YouTubers. This couple was a roller coaster of emotions, but they were still heartwarming. My only complaint about this book and the other books of this series is that the characters always seem to have a lot of problems, but not all of them get resolved. They're just glossed over.
