Rate this book
Nothing beats being prepared for the essay questions you'll see on the exam. And though this revised handbook doesn't reveal exactly what readers will encounter when they take their test (no book can do that), it does provide numerous sample responses to questions from the official question pool for the writing section. A veteran test-prep professional gives a helpful overview of the test's format, offers sound advice on answering the most common types of questions, and walks readers, step-by-step, through fully annotated questions and responses. Includes:
-- Sample responses to 230 GMAT essay questions taken from actual exams
-- Comprehensive analysis of each sample response
-- Valuable instruction on writing essays in a timed environment
-- Strategies for composing the types of essays that graders are looking for -- clear and concise

The GMAT is the entrance exam that a lot of Business Schools use to help them assess the competence of their applicants.

I used this book to help me prepare for the exam. It contains prep for all segments for the exam, with preparation questions and sample essay qustions, with model answers. I found it particularly useful for the essay questions, as it told me how to structure the answers in a way that would miximise my score. I used it as part of my revision and feel it contributed to me getting in the top 12% of those who took the test.
