About the author

Ira Moskowitz (15 March 1912 - 2001 ) was a Polish Jewish painter and printmaker.

He arrived in America with his family in 1928 and studied at the Art Students League under Harry Wickey. During his life, he received numerous awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1943.
