End Days is what readers are calling a heart-pounding emotional roller coaster. Join us today in the fight for survival within a changing world.
E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.
The fourth book in this series continues as a great addition to the three previous books. The characters are well put together and families are reunited through a tough race to get to safety. E.E. Isherwood and Craig Martelle has brought together a story that will keep you interested throughout the book and series. This is a great book for all action and science fiction readers.
The dramatic conclusion (or is it?).of EE Isherwood and Craig Martelle's excellent End of Days series, is Book 4, Begin Again. Finally the epic journey by Brad, Connie and Big Mac, the puppy, [plus the huge convoy of truckers and other desperate refugees, from the holocaust caused by the 'hijacking' of the CERN and SNAKE colliders to cause catastrophic events with the deadly blue streaks and a resulting time slippage] can be told in an incredibly dramatic and exciting story, of how loved ones can be reunited even across time and seemingly insurmountable odds.
Thanks to Brad and Phil, (Connie's son from the 1980s) there may yet be a way to - as the title says - Begin Again. Just how the overall events are interwoven throughout this epic masterpiece, (and the books that precede it in the End of Days series by EE Isherwood and Craig Martelle) and how things will pan out for the survivors, (including Faith and the other SNAKE scientists, betrayed by colleagues with a deadly agenda) remains to be seen...more please, gentlemen!
This fourth book in the series End Days is even better than the first three. And they are all great! I have a bond with Buck and his family, old and new. I am begging the authors, EE Isherwood and Craig Martelle to continue the series with books 5 through, at least 8 but 10 would be marvelous. I love the well-described world and the much loved, for the most, characters. The writing is superb and I desperately want to know what happens to each of them. Even though the despicable Dr. Johnson had, in mho, the perfect finale science there may be a bit more to his story. I can't recommend this series enough. If you like apocalypse/dystopian tales you will love it and if you're not sure give it a try. It's packed with excitement, drama, tension with the perfect touch of good and happiness. I read it straight through with only the briefest of totally necessary breaks and now it's 8:07 am on a Saturday morning, lol. It's that good!
Buck and his new old girlfriend are racing across the changed America trying to join up with his son Garth and Garth's new old girlfriend. LOL In his marathon ride across the country in his semi trailer Buck had saved Connie from harassing bikers. Connie admitted that she was from the recent past decades ago. Beautiful, with flaming red hair, Buck and Connie were inseparable. Garth had also picked up a young beauty from the pioneer past. Lydia was from a wagon train more than a century earlier, lost in the present, dragged to the current mess caused by a world ending experiment with the SNAKE and CERN super-coliders. As the experiment winds down there is only one safe haven: inside the 62 mile loop of the energy rings at the SNAKE facility. The race is on! I love these characters and can't wait for everyone to get together. Father and son, with their female beauties and puppy, Big Mac, are racing across the country to meet in Kansas. Although I am neither a truck driver nor a Marine, I still identify with Buck and pray that my son is as brave and resourceful as Garth. The girls are bonus characters that I can admire and hope they don't disappear back to their own time. The storyline is amazing and while unlikely, is not out of the question. Packed with non-stop adventure and danger, the pages fly by. This book and series are awesome. This is a great read!
Book 4 of this amazing series in which scientists destroy the world as we know it - do be careful when trying new experiments you lab people. I was really excited about this book. Finally we have Buck and Garth reuniting - and running for their lives to Colorado because Buck’s gut feeling proved right when Dr Sinclair to word out that Red Mesa was the only safe place to go. Also, there is this Dr Johnson character that is absolutely horse-shit and wants to destroy the world to save SNAKE. It comes to a head and Phil, Buck and the convoy have to find a way to save theirs asses - and save as many others’ as possible. I recommend!

I enjoy Craig Martelle's writing from a series with Micheal Anderle (another favorite) as I love post apocalyptic future stories and games this was right up my alley. The series set in current times is a great story of mystery thrills and chills that culminates in a fantastic ending. Synchronicity at its finest. Bravo on the editing although the story breaks made me a little frantic they drive the interest in the story so I write my friends I will be ready!
I almost quit this series on book three but decided to read this one anyway. The whole story was based on a great premise though the science was sketchy. Fun to see the various 'obstacles' and how the characters got out of them but there was way too much repetitive, nonsensical filler (especially in the science venues) to justify them. I would like to see the author end this series and do a generation later dystopian story and let this one go.
I hope there’s more books in this series because I have invested time into knowing Buck, Garth, Connie and Lydia. I can imagine ways they could help each other, especially adding Connie’s son Phil. Please authors, continue this series! In the meantime I’m going to check out your other individual books. Thank you for pushing through and writing this series together!
Great post apocalyptic series with some great twists
PA novels are over crowded with EMP, nuclear war, zombies, etc. This seriest explores a whole new event involving two super colliders and an experiment gone awry.
The characters are very down to earth and likeable. I am looking forward to book 5, so please hurry.
Awesome! I totally intend to go back and review each of these books.
This is a wonderful series! I love the characters. It starts great and does not light up. The different points of view really show how things slowly fall apart. I love all of the characters here. I really hope that there’s more to the series! Please! :-)
This series has gotten me thru two cold days here in the TN mountains. Great plot idea, not the usual zombie virus , Nuke or solar flair. Of course you ought to write one more. Obviously 1850 Lydia can help save the day with her pioneer knowledge, and of course now use her pioneer female wiles o n modern-day Garth.
WRITE THE NEXT ONES - YES, THE NEXT SERIES! Now I’m done shouting, this was a great series, a fast read, and I loved it! The supercollider concept was wonderful and there are characters left hanging, so what happens next? I need more! Prehistoric animals? Land masses? What’s next?
I loved loved this whole series from beginning to the end..I went into Amazon to get the next book and it’s not there..So sad but I will wait until the next one..I want to know what is coming for Buck,Connie,Garth,Lydia and Connie’s son Phil..And I hope Faith’s sister makes it to her..I want more please..
This KU library selection is the continuation/conclusion? of the End Days series. Even though the initial series as planned has ended, there is the potential for more to come as the world as we know it is broken and remade. A follow-up would provide a view of makinds'potential for starting over.
Love the story line and the characters--will forgive the physics and believe the sci-fi aspect of it all. I'm hoping you create continuity over the planet withe the time changes so everyone gets to mark out a new life without fear that the planet will tear into pieces. Hoping for many productive writing days for you!
Most of the major character finally get together by this point in the series. The tension is kept high as we wonder who will survive and who will be sent who knows where. Lydia is my favorite character, even though she doesn’t play a major part so far. Don’t read this before the others or you will be lost.
I read all 4 books in three days, I couldn’t put them down. The story keeps you hooked and you have to find out what’s going to happen to Garth, will he find his dad? Will Buck find his son in time. Wonderful characters.
This series continues to be really interesting and innovative. This particular book felt rushed in parts with some errors, such as Dr Kyle Johnson having a female pronoun ("her"). There are a lot of unanswered questions with this, so I hope this continues.
This was a good ending to the series. I’m happy the authors gave it a hopeful ending, despite the peripheral recognition that billions of people died. Looking forward to reading more of your series!
Book 3 was so good I skipped the review and and read book 4 wright away. Book 4 can't be the end, it's just the beginning. We need to see where it goes as the beginning of the new world. Hope you keep going with a whole new world of books.
Another amazing book read, This book has me questioning everything. I mean seriously governments and scientists have been doing crazy stuff since time began they are prob all ready.working on this exact stuff. Keep reading
Amazing series which combines a new twist on a post apocalyptic storyline with a good dose of sci-fi. Excellent character development! Hoping for book 5 soon!
If this story was a movie I would buy a copy and watch it over and over again!!! Yes please let us keep reading by making book 5, 6 and 7. I don't think I have ever read something so absolutely addictive!! Wonderful, wonderful.
This series is a work of art. I blasted thru the first 4 books in 3 days. The action was nonstop and the storyline genius. What a great twist on apocalyptic works. Please keep it going.
This was the show stopper of the past four books! Mr. Martelle and Mr. Irsherwood you are now officially my favorite authors of all time! Can’t wait to read Beyond Alpha!
Almost from b the beginning, this book is full of pulse pounding action and Harrowing adventure. Will Buck, Connie and all the others make it to their destinations on time? I really hope so......
