Earth girls are forbidden... but he'll break all the rules to claim her I'm a brave hero. A warrior from the planet Yolcadia. A superstar space commander with a perfect battle record. The only thing missing? A mate.
My warrior status means I must remain a bachelor. So when a captivating Earth girl arrives on my ship for protection, I know she's off limits--no matter how much I crave her sweetness.
Her frosty attitude entices me. Her soft curves light my body on fire. But touching her would destroy the peace our planets have worked so hard to build.
I'm supposed to stay away from her.
Not a chance.
The Earth girl is mine. Even if I have to tear down the whole damn galaxy to get to her.
* RIDE ON A STAR is a YOLCADIAN WARRIORS alien romance novel, set in the Celestial Mates shared world *
Suki Selborne is a USA Today bestselling author writing paranormal, sci-fi and fantasy romance. She loves reading stories full of magic, drama, suspense, action and fun, so those are the kind she writes, too. Suki lives with her husband, kids, and way too many books, in London, England.
This was a great story. I haven’t read anything by this author before but can’t wait to read more by her. I love the Celestial Mates series and couldn’t wait to read this story. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this sub series.
Lucy is a human who works for a lab on Yolcadia. Narun is a Yolcadian warrior commander. They are matched as Celestial Mates only they don’t remember signing up. Things go crazy and Narun vows to get Lucy back home to Earth. Will they get a happy ending?

This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, with a likable couple. It is a fairly short book, so there wasn't time for as much character development as I normally like. I just needed more backstory on the couple, but especially on Narun.
One problem was that it has been quite a while since I read the first 2 books in the series, so I didn't remember some of the details. It is a problem for me if the books in a series come out so far apart that I have trouble remembering characters or details. I was able to remember enough to like this story, but I think I would have liked it more if I had read the other 2 books recently.
This one gets 3 stars from me. It probably would have gotten more if it had come out a little closer to the first 2 books.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Commander Narun’s ship of Yolcadian warriors is engaged in a battle with the Xilficonians. His deputy Hilfrod reported that whether they continue the fight or try to run, they are going to be killed; there was no hope. But Narun wouldn’t accept that and looked over the star charts for this unfamiliar galaxy. He told the men his plan, but they didn’t think it would work. They would pretend to run, then power off the ship as if their engines were dead. The enemy, probably wanting to keep the ship intact when they claim it, will surround them to take them captive. Once their ships surround them at close range, they will launch a seismic ray blast which will clear the entire field. Still, the men are uncomfortable putting that much trust in the enemy not to blast them while they are defenseless. Yet the plan did work and they were able to get away from the battle safely!
Lucy is a human scientist who works on the Yolcadian planet as Cresta’s assistant. Earth is their ally now, so there is cooperation between the planets. Lucy’s boss is pregnant and wants Lucy to take over running the lab for her when she has her baby. Cresta’s husband is the 7-foot tall Yolcadian, Harkus, so the baby is about 3 times as large as a human child would be. Lucy suggested she start passing some of the work over to her now to help, so she agreed. She also invited Lucy to the Yolcadian Warriors awards -- where Narun is to be honored for his bravery and combat skills – and Cresta intends to introduce her as her replacement. Having met briefly at Cresta’s wedding, both Narun and Lucy remember the attraction which apparently still exists between them, even though the recent rules say he cannot mate with a human. But when terrorists invade the ceremony, Narum takes Lucy off-planet to keep her safe. His ship is attacked! Will they survive? Can he keep her safe? And who could be working with the terrorists?
I enjoyed this book and the active story line that kept adding bursts of suspense to keep the reader invested. The characters were well-developed and their personalities were easy to see as the reader observes the interactions of the brave, fast-thinking hero and the sweet science nerd. Grab your copy and enjoy getting to know these aliens better. I have a feeling you’ll really enjoy it.
Alpha Alien Male🐺🔫🔪🍆⛲ Adult Romance💘 and Abduction. Celestial Mates💞 gets involved without asking!

ARC Received from Booksprout🌱 I also got the book with KU.
I really enjoyed this very different Celestial Mates romance! It's very different from most because neither Narun🐺🍆⛲🔫🔪 or Lucy💃💋 signed up, but Celestial Mates comes in to put them together, anyway.
Lucy💃💋 is definitely a nerd, so Narun🐺🔫🔪 seems like a movie 🌟star to her. He's a commander and a decorated war hero, she's just a behind the scenes scientist. It's an unlikely match.
Lucy is a scientist and is on Yolcadia. Her boss and a mate to a Yolcadian warrior invited her to a ceremony honoring Narun. Lucy remembers him from her friend and boss;s wedding. While there they are both summoned by message to a back room. When they go there an agent from Celestial Mates informs them that they are the next fated couple. Incredulity abounds and they leave to go back to the ceremony. When it ends and Lucy is preparing to leave the place is attacked by a rival faction of Yolcadians. Narun takes Lucy onto his ship and they leave. He is going to take her someplace safe. But before he can do that the ship is attacked and they crash land. They land on Norovow. I read books one and two a couple of years ago and the author gave out the Two Yolcadians Weddings book as a free read. According to my older reviews I really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, it has been so long since I read them, I cannot remember everything. Hence, I am reading the box set through KU to finally read book three but also to refresh my memory.
A very enjoyable read and a lot of interesting happenings. Lucy and Narun are friends and co-workers of the previous two couples so we have met them before. These two have gravitated around each other but both are dedicated to their jobs. During an awards ceremony there is an attack by a group against humans and Yolcadian involvement. Fleeing with Lucy, Narun takes her onboard his ship to get her to safety. But there is a traitor onboard and nothing goes as planned. Liked how Lucy hurt herself emotionally to protect Narun and get him to return to Yolcadia. Liked how the other couples played a good role in this story without taking away from the story around Lucy and Narun. Not sure I enjoyed the cherub side of this but all’s well that ends well. Some errors that should have been picked up.
You gotta love the Celestial Mates. They pop in and out of the picture and put the mates together. Really a great story. Lucy is from Earth working in a lab on Yolcadian. She and her co worker Cresta and Cresta's husband Harkus take Lucy to a Celebration for one of their friends and a high up Commander in the Yolcadian military. Lucy sees Narun and realizes that he is the one getting the honors. Lucy has secretly lusted after Narun at the wedding of Cresta and Harkus. There is a big fight and Narun grabs Lucy and runs to his ship. What and adventure these two have. There is fighting, kidnapping, stealing a spaceship. This was a great book and I am going to go and get the first book with Cresta and Harkus love story. First time I've read one of Suki Selborne's book. Look forward to more.

So we thought that with Reginald being promoted we wouldn’t have any more dealings with Celestial Mates. Wrong!! Lucy is Cresta's human assistant and since Cresta is huge pregnant, Lucy will be running Cresta's lab on Yolcadia. Narun is a commander of his own ship and is being honored at an award ceremony when all hell breaks loose. Reginald has a replacement and she is just as crazy without the happy personality. These two will go through just as much torment as the other two. It is fast paced and action packed from beginning to end. I wasn't as fond of Lucy as I was the other two women, but I did really appreciate Narun. Being Harkus' flight officer, he learned a few tricks from his previous battles. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
I absolutely loved Narun’s and Lucy’s story there is so much going on in this story I don’t know where to start my review from so I won’t be giving any spoilers. If you are a big fan of the Celestial Mates series like I am then your going to love this story just like I do, this is my 1st read and review for this author and I look forward to reading more of her stories. I’ve missed Cresta’s and Kalia’s stories so I will definitely be getting them and if they are half as amazing as this story then I will be a happy girl, this story has gone on my to read again shelf yes people it’s that good. This is a definite must read a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Well written intergalactic adventure featuring wonderful characters and a great plot involving plenty of nail-biting twists. There were lots of creative details/solutions, and a few steamy scenes too. Trusting the heart, betrayal, courage, friendship, loyalty, work ethics, cultural differences, and nationalism were some of the underlying currents. Sexism was not a theme, thankfully/refreshingly, even if there were a few #metoo perpetrators involved. Both Narun and Lucy had good hearts and deserved the love that finally came their way.

Ride on a Star by Suki Selborne is the third book in the Celestial Mates series. This book is about an Earth woman named Lucy who ends up mated to a Yolcadian Commander named Narum. This story is an exciting thrill ride of an adventure that includes a kidnapping and almost a war between the planets of Earth and Yolcadian. There were many hurdles that Narum and Lucy must overcome on their way to a happy ever after ending and I enjoyed reading about each and every one. This was a fun page turning read full of unique characters set in interesting worlds. It’s the perfect book for anyone who wants to read a unique romance. Ride on a Star is an out of this world love story!
Lucy has been working with the Yolcadians. He human boss is mated to one of their people, and when Lucy is told that Narun is her fated mate, she is sure that it is a haze by her work colleagues. When he is trying to return her to Earth, she is kidnapped by one of his crew members, who tries to give her to another race as a sex slave - Will Narun be able to keep her safe? When war threatens their two worlds, will he be able to keep her safe and return to her? Loved the way this story is written!

Well written fast paced story full of danger, drama, sizzling chemistry and sweet romance
This is the first read for me in the Yolcadian Warriors series but I read it from the Celestial Mates perspective and really enjoyed it. I loved the idea that they were both crushing on each other before Eustacia Ganymede of Celestial Mates stepped in. She certainly was an odd character! Of course, it was a forbidden crush, so that upped the angst and drama. When you throw in the danger of civil war, betrayal and prejudice, well, it was an exciting read that ticked my boxes.
Lucy and Narun, the science nerd and the warrior, forbidden mates....call them what you want these two are destined to be together and the Celestial Mates Agency will make sure they end up together. Actually, the fact that this was a Celestial Mates story was why I read this book...big mistake because now I need to read the other books in the "Yolcadian Warriors" series. My TBR shelf will never be empty!!

Fate has many paths I just love the books in this series! This one is the perfect addition. We get to reconnect with some old friends and meet some new ones, while we are flown off into the stars toward a HEA that you won’t want to miss. If this should be the end of the series, it’s a fantastic end, but I hope we get to see a love connection for some of the new warriors we have been introduced to. I look forward to reading the next book by this author.
Celestial Mates... Lucy and Narun met at their mutual friends wedding a year ago and were attracted to each other. Nothing came of it at the time, however now that circumstance has brought them together again they are drawn to each other. They’ve gots lot of obstacles in their way before they can find their HEA.

This was a way better book then I thought it would be. The story sucks you right in and keeps you entertained. I loved the characters, seeing Lucy and Narun's love story unfold. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves alien romances.
The third book in the Yolcadian Warriors which is part of the Celestial Mates series, a well written story that kept me turning pages. He is a warrior who is supposed to stay single. She is taking over for her boss when she goes to have a baby. They have met at a wedding before and the strong attraction is still there. It is exciting, suspenseful, full of twists and turns and so much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I love this series...celestial mates is wonderful. Pure scifi romance at its best. The characters were so well developed and totally loveable. This story was exceptionally well written and the pace was perfect.

A cute story to read on a slow afternoon, while Im avoiding my responsibilities. It had twist and turns. You never know who you can trust. It had steam once Narun and Lucy let themselves have fun. A great ending. I would recommend. Happy reading! Rating 4 stars

Narum is a Yolcadian warrior and must remain single. Lucy is from Earth and works in the labs. Sparks fly between these two and when they are in danger Narum protects Lucy. Can he keep her safe and fight their attraction? Fast-paced read with lots of drama and suspense. The characters are entertaining and the story has a great flow. I really liked it.
Absolutely Awesome Read, well written, great characters, Awesome story line, easy read to hold you on their journey, this genre might not be for everyone but its a really wonderful story cannot wait for more from this Author.

If you love the celestial mates books you’ll love this one too. A commander who’s not allowed to mate, a human who wants him to stand by his vows, treachery and adventure aplenty in this instalment. But fear not they’ll get their HEA, besides celestial mates guarantee it....by any means

Great book, I enjoyed it immensely, it’s exciting, adventurous, thrilling, romantic and of course sexy. Quite by accident I’ve read this book, the 3rd in the series, first, but I’m definitely still looking forward to reading books 1 and 2. Suki Selborne thank you and please write more about the Yolcadians.
Very enjoyable and entertaining read. Plenty of action, suspense, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. Overall a great read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Narun the alien warrior and Lucy the earth scientist have a long road to make it to their HEA since it’s forbidden for warriors to have a mate. And Lucy is definitely his mate. Fun read

Good story. Different to the fact of the Fated Mate service that is beaning used. Wicked thing that. Crazy things going on too. Exciting and danger mixed in there. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I liked Lucy. She was a quiet hard worker in the labs. Watch out for the quiet ones! Narun is a hunk of beautiful man flesh. He also has the heart and soul of a great warrior. Their story will keep you reading to find out what happens next.
