সহজ কুরআন লেখার উদ্দেশ্য সম্পর্কে লেখক সহজ কুরআন প্রথম খণ্ডে বলে দিয়েছেন। দ্বিতীয় খণ্ডে মোট ২১টি সুরা নিয়ে কাজ করা হয়েছে। প্রথম খণ্ডের ১৬টি সুরা বাদ দিয়ে ৩০তম পারার বাকি সব সুরা এই খণ্ডে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে। সুতরাং কুরআনের শেষ পারার সব সুরা পাঠকগণ এ দুই খণ্ডে পেয়ে যাচ্ছেন (তা ছাড়া প্রথম খণ্ডে কুরআনের প্রথম সুরা ফাতিহার ব্যাখ্যা রয়েছে)।

Asif Shibgat Bhuiyan (আসিফ সিবগাত ভূঞা) completed his SSC from Saint Joseph School and his HSC from Dhaka College. He did his BBA from IBA. He is currently doing his Masters on Economics from United International University.

For the last 12 years he has been engaged in the pursuit of Islamic knowledge. He went to Qatar in 2009 to do a one year course on the Arabic language from Qatar University. After gaining some proficiency in the language, he used it to study the different sections of Islam. Recently he enrolled in a bachelor program of Islamic Studies in Mishkah University, an online university. There he gets the opportunity to attain knowledge from under the presence of professors from the famous Egyptian Islamic university, Al-Azhar University.

আদর্শের বইয়ের দামে এরকম অনাদর্শ অনুসরণ করলে কেমন হবে? ধাপাধাপ সাড়ে তিনশ-চারশ দাম বসিয়ে রাখলে হলো? এ বইয়ের দাম কোনোমতেই চারশ হতে পারে না। মোটা কাগজ আর একটু মোটা বাঁধাই দিলেই তো দাম বাড়ানো যায়। আদর্শের মতো এরকম লাগামছাড়া দাম নির্ধারণ আর এক দুইটা দেশি প্রকাশনা সংস্থা হয়তো করে! চমক হাসানের দুইটা বইয়ের দাম দেখে আমি ভাবি–থাক! আমি নিজে নিজেই এসব 'দামি' 'কলনীয়' টেকনিক বের করে নেব! এই এক ইঞ্চি হবে না পুরু–এমন বই চারশ! আর বাবা! বইয়ের কন্টেন্টও ইউক্লিডের এলিমেন্টস ধরনের কোনো মাস্টারপিস না।

যাই হোক, বইটার ব্যাখ্যা করা আয়াত প্রায় এক বসায় একটা করেই পড়েছি। এতে করে যদি মহাগ্রন্থ কিছুটা বুঝতে পারি! আসিফ সিবগাত অনেক জায়গায় ব্যাখ্যা অপ্রত্যাশিতভাবে স্বল্প দিয়েছেন। সেটা ফাঁকি বলেই আমার মনে হয়েছে। আবার কিছু জায়গায় সন্তোষজনক ব্যাখ্যা বা আলোচনা করেছেন–সেটা ভালো লেগেছে।

The only reason this book doesn't have a 5-star rating is because of a few printing errors on page 159 and 207 out of the 168 carefully crafted pages concerning the Arabic verses, which is unacceptable in a book that demands flawless proofreading.
That aside, the fact that this book was written after much research into a number of reliable Tafseers (each with a fresh perspective of its own, I'm sure) speaks volumes when you continue reading the explanation for each surah and reflect upon the teachings alone or with others. I rate it a 4.4 stars, even though such books should not be rated quantitatively, but valued qualitatively.
