Porter is a Dom who refuses to push because an unhealed ache in his soul from tragically losing a loved one keeps one foot firmly stuck in the past. He loves Gavin, considers him his best friend. That's why when Gavin took the job in Costa Rica, Porter knew he had to let him go, even though it hurt. Gavin knows all too well why Porter's in pain—he was there by his side that horrible afternoon. But Gavin has his own relationship ghosts to deal with. All he wanted was for Porter to ask him to stay, to give him a chance to show him he can be Porter's forever guy. To want him, and as more than just a good friend. But between ancient heartache, mixed messages, a jealous sub, and a friend who's anything but, will the two stubborn aviation mechanics finally be able to fix what's wrong between them?

This book was so good and yet so frustrating that I wanted to scream at both Porter and Gavin to get their acts together. I literally did not put the book down from when I started to when I finished it. Tymber has a way of extracting emotions from the reader and I was totally absorbed into the story of both men's pasts. I could almost feel their emotions, their frustrations and their pain. It is a great read.
I can't wait for the next book!

Relationships can be tough, especially when you don't talk to each other and just believe what someone else is saying about the other one. That's where Porter and Gavin are! Porter left a year ago when he believed something that a jealous sub said about Gavin. Now that he's back, both of them want to talk to each other but there is still misunderstandings and hurt blocking their way. Can they work through it and find each other again? Tymber always writes stories that just speak to you and go right to your heart! This is just such a story!! I loved it so much.

I still wish that Gavin had been way less irritating at the beginning of this story(and that he was a real life person that I could give a swift kick in the ass to), but this book did mostly redeem itself in the end(I just wish it was longer, which is unfortunately a feeling I have frequently with the more recent Suncoast Society books). I was really worried that this would end with a mutual "we both suck equally" apology and I was pleasantly surprised that that didn't happen. Porter acknowledged his own part in the communication issues while also making it clear that what Gavin did was way worse. And the Dane backstory was just devastating.

I like the way that this story plays out. Most of the story is both men reliving what has brought them to this point in their lives. They also don't end up needing to enlist the help of any of the matchmaker teams. This story really is pretty much about just the two of them.

Porter and Gavin have been friends for years, having gone through some tough situations together. Can they learn to let go of the past and have the future that they have always wanted, together? Another quick great read in the Suncoast Society series!

I couldn't put this book down for wanting to see how these two got their act together. I kept wanting to reach in the book and bop them in the back of the head and say you two need to have to learn to communicate alot better. I can't wait to see if we get more from them in future books.

What a heart touching ending!

Gavin and Porters story is heart wrenching! They both have gone through so much... and suffered too long.

Gavins trust issues may kill what they once had. Porters lack of “pushing” Gavin to stay, caused Gavins trust issues to run amok.

I keep wondering, both in life and in books, when people will realize that trust and honesty are the only way to make things really work!! It sure makes for some great reading though!

Tymber Dalton just keeps making me want to read more!!

Suncoast

These books are usually a solid 4 from me and I can enjoy most anything thrown at me but the constant use of italics to highlight nearly every word and the fact that forcing your sub to marry you obviously fixes anything wrong in a relationship is getting kinda tedious, still a good read if either of those don’t bother you!

Porter got his happy

When first introduced to Porter in Blue Motel Room i knew he was going to have an interesting back story. I wasn't wrong. To find out all that he went through to get to Gavin made e tear up. I'm super glad they found their way back together. Also super glad they flipped off Jayce on the dance floor of was a nice touch.

A classic case of head up your ass syndrome. If only they had spoken up earlier a lot of tears would have been spared, but with their pasts' it is easy to see how they get stuck in a bad headspace. I loved it.👍👍💖💖💖😍😍😍
