This is an excellent and informative book, not only about the caves but also the other attractions found at Dan yr Ogof. Not only do we get an insight into the initial discovery of the caves but also the history of the discovery of the caves miles of other passages, systems and lakes. Everything from the initial discovery right up as far as the present day, all of the findings, discoveries, research and events are here to read about.
Broken up into easy to read chapters, each chapter contains more than enough information on each topic, with not only insightful and reading but the photograph provided of archaeological finds, the explorers over the years, formations within the caves and even the outside exhibits offer a more insightful look as to what's on offer, as well as the deeply rich history of the cave that goes back millions of years.
Examining both the modern day and the distant past it an excellent read for anyone with an interest in the caves themselves, Welsh history (from present day to neolithic), the Roman occupation of Britain, archaeology and dinosaurs.
My only issue with this book is that there are perhaps one or two grammatical errors, but nothing that ruins the reading experience.
