A older book which was aimed at the self help market, or so it felt. However given it's age; I feel it is more aligned to being read by those in counselling and psychology as some of the information could easily be misunderstood in the internet age. Bearing in mind this book was written pre-internet and our views of the world and how people interact with each other differs greatly from the time Fay wrote this book. It is also based fairly heavily on Eric Berne's work (Games People Play) and it's worth having read that book before reading this one.
Overall I've giving it 4 stars but that is aimed at professionals in the counselling type area. For anyone else I would give it a 1 star and say there are more useful books out there to help improve your life by reading. Still, saying that it was well written and I enjoyed the way it was presented.

I highly recommend this trailbalzing book from 1979. Using humor and paradoxical intent is an effective way to deal with some chronic disorders. The author describes and explaines successful approaches to treat ODC, depression, anxiety, and anger.
