Designed as an introductory textbook, the book emphasizes the fundamental basis of toxic action at the cellular and molecular levels and lays the foundation for specialized courses in toxicology.
I used this book for the first time in this spring semester's tox class. Overall, it's very good. It includes info on tox testing, environmental issues, and future topics that is lacking in other texts. Can be repetitive in places and has a strange mention of applying homeopathic principles to toxicology (?!). Otherwise, a good introductory text.
A decent textbook. I referred it for my organ system toxicity class. Provides a brief overview of system physiology and then a quick capitulation of selected toxicants.
