I love a well written Vampire story and this one is fantastic.
Stella is human and has lost everyone close to her and now everything else she has is in risk of being taken.
Stella has watched him from her window, dreaming of him, wanting him but never know truly about him until...
Fabian has always wanted Stella but she was too young when he first glanced upon her. However, he had no choice in what he had to do and now it may cost him the one thing he desires most in this world.
Will Stella forgive?
Will she finally have someone instead of no one?

Shoot For The Star....
OMG, Ms. La Porta's books only get better, I've read every single one of her books and each is better than the last. I absolutely love her world of The Immortals!
Stella was having a hard time making ends meet and she couldn't even sleep because of recurring nightmares she had every night not to mention that her neighbor the gorgeous movie star Fabian Laurentis had a different beauty and loud music every day at early hours of the morning. But still her eyes wouldn't stray from his masculine beauty every time she saw him on the balcony which was everyday. She could daydream.
Fabian Laurentis lives in torment with the knowledge that his bonded is but feets away from him yet he could not touch her lest his monster take over. Yet he would not allow another monster to have her, even if it meant being shunned by his kind.
So much love and passion...For a vampire to endure such desire from afar and from close proximity is unheard of, but not impossible when true love is involved.

Stella is a real-life Princess but she certainly doesn't live life like one. Her parents tragically died in an accident, she was then raised by an Aunt who has now also died of old age, and she is now all alone in the world with no money, little income from the many jobs she does, and a large bill to pay to save her ancestral home. With impending homelessness and desperate for a solution she contemplates becoming a Blood Courtesan in a business transaction with a wealthy Vampire - after all, it's all business so there is no danger of love getting in the way. Ancient vampire Fabian Laurentis is a world-famous actor and playboy. However, he is also the only reason Stella is still alive and when he realises she is about to make the worst mistake of her life he is determined that no one else will have her - no matter the cost. Little does he realise how difficult that may become - can he keep them both safe?
This was a lovely story and I really enjoyed the softer side of a Vampire being shown. I enjoyed Stella's determination to protect the people and things that she loved and how she took the difficult decision to do whatever it took to save her home. It was well written and it was easy to understand and experience all of the emotions and events happening to all of the characters. I felt so sorry for her as her troubles mounted up and definitely hoping someone could help her.
This was a lovely story and I really enjoyed the softer side of a Vampire being shown. I enjoyed Stella's determination to protect the people and things that she loved and how she took the difficult decision to do whatever it took to save her home. It was well written and it was easy to understand and experience all of the emotions and events happening to all of the characters. Truly Beautiful
This story had gripped my emotions from the very beginning. I kept reading and wondering was Stella ever going to get a break. I understand all to well when all things go wrong and it seems nothing could go right.
Next thing you know in walks the man of your dreams and you might have that change of hope, or will you.
You will not be disappointed in this journey with Stella and discover if she finally gets her happiness again. Don't forget the tissues, trust me.

A fast-paced vampire romance.
Stella’s character was enjoyable to read. She was down to Earth and easy to relate to. I love the story that had thrilling suspense, immortal dangers, and some spice.
