A brand new series of interactive board books to make it easier for children to learn math skills. Slide the simple mechanisms and see the picture change to show the result of the additions and subtractions, making math visual, concrete, and easy to understand!
I love the subtraction slide-and-see book, 10/10, but this addition one doesn’t rhyme like the subtraction one does. Not only that, but it doesn’t even have complete sentences on the page. I have to adapt it so it doesn’t feel so awkward to read.
How the text is written on page 1: “One circus bear…” “add one more…” [slide and see answer to equation] “makes two circus bears!”
Also this isn’t necessarily bad but an important note, it does 1+1, 2+1, 3+1, 4+1, and then 5+5 for some reason??
I don’t know. The 3yo, the 4yo, and the 6yo I read it with (who also loved the subtracting one) still liked it with my revised words, but in my opinion it just isn’t worth the money.
