In “Parasites on Parade,” Larken Rose (author of “The Most Dangerous Superstition” and “The Iron Web”) uses his own direct experiences with bureaucratic and judicial stupidity, intrusion and corruption to illustrate why, everywhere and at all times, in every situation and at every level, government sucks! This snarky, flippant look at the mentality and tactics of various state busybodies also provides an important lesson regarding the true nature of political “authority,” and the problems and abuses it naturally creates.
Larken Rose is an outspoken advocate of the principles of self-ownership, non-aggression and a stateless society, and is the author of a number of books (including "The Most Dangerous Superstition") and creator of numerous articles and videos.
I think this is a must-read for anyone who believes the "government" is a just and fair system for protecting the rights of individuals. Likewise, anyone who questions the good intentions of "government" at all levels should read this for a better understanding of how courts, lawyers, judges and even the supreme court works in reality. Larken presents a detailed and even humorous account of a case of local "authorities" overstepping their bounds. Where most people would have quickly submitted he continued to stand his ground and keep records for the benefit of others. I see that as an admirable undertaking.
Poignant, humorous, and unfortunately a perfect example of what many Americans have lived through all too often.
Larken Rose pulls no punches in exposing the bloodsucking scumbags that infiltrate and infest the private lives of productive, peaceful people and gives them the verbal smackdowns they they deserve.
Great book to see how broken the court system is, and how it was never meant to provide true arbitration, especially when you try to fight those that work in the same system.
