Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Emily is one of five children. She grew up with a love of sports because of her dad and hopes to travel the world in the near future. She holds a B.A. in Film and Television, as well as a minor in Creative Writing and Professional Writing. From an early age she's loved to create stories and knew she wanted a profession that would allow her to do that. When she's not writing new books or screenplays, she's watching tv with her sister or reading romance books.
Although I am related to Emily, I am going to try to remain non-biased. As I've said about all poetry books I've read, I never fully know how to review them. It's not the writer's fault if I don't connect with every poem in the book. That being said, I didn't connect with a lot of the poems in this book...and that's okay. The thing that matters is how I felt about the poems I did connect with, and man...those poems messed me up. I definitely think this poem book meant more to me than it will to other people because I know the story behind who inspired these poems. I think it's that little detail that adds to the impact this poem book had on me. I encourage you to give this new writer a chance to become the person she is meant to be. I'm proud of you Emmie.
