An entirely new and comprehensive commentary by canon lawyers from North America and Europe, with a revised English translation of the code. Reflects the enormous developments in canon law since the publication of the original commentary. Now in paperback. †
I sadly have to use GoodReads stars to show my preference towards reading more books of a similar kind.
But my critical rating of this edition is a 6 out of 7. I like how it has commentary along with the actual cannon law. That way lay people can use it a little more than what they would be able to otherwise.
Basically explains the premise that whoever has the canon makes the law. A decidedly conservative, but ultimately authoritative rundown of how the Church functions as a governing body... A must for all armchair theologians and proto-priests.
