I like this book. It's about animals and what they like, so my sister started making animal habitats, she caught a snake, a frog and some caterpillars. She caught salamanders and started looking up what she needed for them. She caught an Eastern garter snake and an American Toad. She caught a Red-backed salamander and a spotted salamander, she even caught a red eft. I wish she could catch a Queen snake. And I think she caught a Red-bellied snake.

Everything has unintended consequences.
When we bought this book I thought we were merely going to learn more about the wildlife that surrounds us, I certainly didn't think Gitty was going to use it as a guide to build a frog habitat in a box in our backyard.
Now the book has been left out overnight and the pages are accordioned from the dew.
