This was a good look at life as a child of an immigrant, feeling like you don't fit in, dealing with a disease or ailment that is often looked at as a weakness instead of an actual medical issue, and life with family. Deals with the feelings of inadequacy, feelings of jealousy, feelings of love and of loss, losing a family member, dealing with other cultures, and dealing with hormones.
Darius was a likable character, was kind to his sister, and dealt with issues living up to his father's expectations. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to more from this author.
