Babies of every species are created to be cuddled, nurtured and loved. This charming book with its beautiful illustrations will highlight how different baby animals are taken care of and treasured by their parents.

This book is a celebration of love and caring as young baby animals are doted upon, nuzzled and carried whether in snowy caves, cozy nests or perhaps right in your own home... it's a lovefest to be honoured.

Written in both English and Spanish the simple text and the gorgeous illustrations make a perfect marriage. The book is a wonderful introduction to animal families and their habitats. There is a comprehensive Teacher's Guide available for download in both languages which is sure to get kids wanting to learn more about these animals habits.

You can obtain a copy at: www.PlatypusMedia.com.

This charming book is very sweet and perfect to share with wee ones. I'm sure after the last page is read a wrap around hug is the perfect way to seal its message into the hearts of all who partake in this tender story. I highly recommend this book.

Happy, smiling mother and baby animals are shown in excellent realistic art work for youngsters. The simple sentences tells of mother's actions to her baby but the use of "nourishes" you will have to explain or just say feeds me. The introduction and final pages give ideas to use the book and the mention to go to the PlatypusMedia.com site for downloading the Teacher's Guide from the Educational Resources page. This is a wonderful book to use for a snuggling up reading at bedtime. I received a copy for review from LibraryThing's Early Reviewers program.

I loved this picture book for children of all ages. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. In it's simple way, it was uplifting and the artwork was wonderful. I liked how they linked animal families to human families. So I will be giving this to my grandchildren. It also has some start a conversation suggestions in the back. Nice touch.

One of the things humans and animals have in common is the bond between a parent and a child. This book illustrates that bond with its simple text and Mike Speiser's magnificent illustrations.
There is an index at the end that tells the name of the animals , what its child is called and what the name of the group is that they belong to.
I wish I could have given this book more then five stars.
