این کتاب برای یک مجموعه به اسم «ماجراهای هنر» است که هر کدام‌شان یک نقاشی یا هنرمند را وسط قرار دادند و قصه‌ای با محوریت او گفتند. این کتاب از بقیه جدی‌تر است که بیشتر شبیه زندگی‌نامه است. زندگی ون‌گوگ را از میان نقاشی‌هایش مرور می‌کنیم. مثلاً نقاشی اتاق ون‌گوگ یا شب پرستاره را می‌بینیم و قصۀ زندگی ون‌گوگ را از دل این ماجراها می‌شنویم. برای دیدن نقاشی‌ها روی کاغذ و آشنایی اولیه با ون‌گوگ کتاب بسیار جذابی است. چاپ کتاب بسیار باکیفیت است اما رنگ‌ها در چاپ ظاهراً درست نیست و نقاشی‌ها شفافیت لازم را ندارد.

What a nice introduction to biography, art history and art critique for children!

A great book on historical artist, Vincent Van Gogh. Directed at not super-young children, the book is unique in that it has some moderately heavy details of Van Gogh's life, including the trials of depression and institutionalization. All is told with objective maturity, even as it is understandable and real for younger readers!

This book (and I hope, by extension, this series) is a great way for an art lover to learn and share with younger children or grandchildren about artists and their lives!
