Dragons' House #3

Out of the Shadows

Rate this book
After narrowly escaping a situation that endangered his unborn babies’ life as well as his own, Daniel can finally enjoy the bliss of marital life, with a stronger than ever Tarquin by his side. Eugene, his best friend, and Elliott, Tarquin’s long-lost twin, also have a happy marriage, surrounded by people who love and support them.

But Benjamin Bloom will stop from nothing to get revenge on his own family for ignoring him as a child and teenager and to take what he believes is rightfully his. Unaware of the enemy hidden in plain sight, the members of the clans are not prepared for the devastating blow that follows.

Ardan, the mysterious protector of young Alasdair Stark, is a man with a precise mission: to hunt down the monster who put him through hell and to rescue other potential victims from his sadistic hands. His path crosses with that of the Stark and Bloom families’ members, and this could lead to two possible things: a bitter rivalry or a durable alliance.

Deeply buried secrets come out of the shadows, the storm they provoke threatening to destroy everything in its way. In the face of the disaster, the men of the Dragons’ House have to be stronger than ever, or else everything they worked so hard for could be lost forever.

*This book is the third installment of the Dragons’ House series and it can not be read as a standalone.

OMG!!! THIS BOOK!!!

Oh, H.M. WOLFE and E.L. NELSON!!! You two better be strapped to computers writing!!! This book was everything I hoped for and MORE!! This series is full of plot twists and intrigue. This book was brimming with all the characters from the previous two books. Love and relationships are in the forefront. HOT! HOT!! HOT!!! New characters are introduced and recognized. Villains and serpents still swim in the murky waters, waiting to strike. This is a beautiful, suspenseful adventure. The ending of this book had my heart pounding. I CAN NOT wait for #4!!! I liked where some of the character’s stories are going. I have my favorite characters and to see them get to happy moments in their life is lovely. Right now, Alasdair is my favorite character, but there are some other nice ones too.

The plot is a continuum from the others. I just doesn’t work at all as a stand-alone. It seems like a really long book cut into pieces, and this time it left us in a cliffhanger. As every character have its own stories, there are subplots I like and some others that I’m not thrill about. I liked the whole family feeling around the book. It gives a big emphasis to family bonds and support.

One of the things that I have problems with is getting in touch with the emotions of the characters. It doesn’t happen all the time, but there are moments when I felt completely disconnected. There are also some scenes and plot twist that I just don’t think fit too well to the rest of the story and they were bothersome, at least to me. I would recommend to beware before reading, that there are some scenes of child abuse that might be disturbing for some readers.

Where to start. It was great seeing these characters continue to evolve and grow. The relationships and bonds are tested, but are still strong. It was wonderful to see familiar faces and new ones too. Now I need book four to hurry up and get here, so I can find out what happens next!

It's Amazing

Another great book in this series. The love and family bond these characters have make a perfect suspenseful path they take in fighting to protect their own.

The intricacies of the story are getting more elaborated as more good relatives of our good characters join the ranks, but also unexpected enemies, and blood relatives are hell bent in destroying the happiness our characters achieved. To be tormented and abused by the one who should’ve taken take of you and love you is a hard pill to swallow to the good souls.
We are witnesses to a lot of love acts, sweetness and compassion, but also we see the ugly and heartless side of the ones that betray the family, we see what manipulation and threats can do to a kind soul that is constricted to get on the dark side.
We see how the big family becomes bigger by revealing relatives that were considered lost, how our good souls find happiness and form families of their own, and how they support each other through thick and thin.
This story ends on a cliff-hanger as the plan of the enemy seems to put in danger the life of a good character that could end up in heartbreak.
The story was a one worth reading and I can't wait to see what happens next with our beloved characters.

I really like where this series is going. I do warn you that you have to read these books in order because of the intricate plot that flows through from book to book. But on top of that, this one ended a freaking cliff hanger! That's ok though because book 4 is already out and I can immediately jump into that one. One of the things that I'm enjoying most about this series is watching how each character is developing and growing. We don't just watch them for a short period of time and are finished, they are worming their way into your very soul and you want to know what will happen next to them and the plot. I highly recommend this series for anyone who loves a good MM read.

In this particular book, the suspense is amped up, there are new people to get to know, and the plot is thickening. You really have to read this series of books for yourself.
4.5 stars for Out of the Shadows, and I recommend you one-click today.

Outstanding

Each book in this series get better and better. It’s a unique storyline and the books weave a web for you to follow. You do have to read the series from start to finish. Great characters . I adore Sir Chatsalot as that could have been my son. Also the autism that is in this book is very like his too. Which makes a change not all ASD people are like Rainman as the media usually portrays them . I can’t put these down and can’t wait for the next.

More secrets are slowly revealed in this third installment of the Dragons’ House series. I have to say that I’m a little impatient and I want to know what happens now, but then I don’t because this series would be over and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Relationships and friendships bonds are tested, will they all hold up? I love seeing old and new faces as this series progresses. I can’t wait to see where these authors take us next!!

Different

As I said for the first book keeping track of the characters can be quite confusing. The story was interesting but was a little long winded on occasion. I still liked the book & am hooked & I now need to know what happens. Roll on book 4 Xx
