Heritage #2

The Fire You Hold

Rate this book
Some things are stronger than metal and stone, like loyalty and love. Which makes the loss of either, a blow that strikes clear through to the heart. Loss has hit the Walker family hard, with the death of the family patriarch, and having the fiance of his grand-daughter accused of murdering him. If that wasn't enough, someone is determined to hurt both Heritage and Kal Burton, so it seems their fates are linked in more than Kal's love for Cici Walker. There's a mystery to be solved and a lot of people determined to solve it, including the man who holds the reins of Heritage, Russell Walker. He'll do whatever it takes to keep his family and their legacy safe, but it's getting damned hard to know who he can trust. Right now, there's only one person. Naomie Taylor. The woman who stirs his blood and makes him wish he was twenty years younger.

The Fire You Hold is book 2 in the Heritage series by Ciana Stone and WOW...

This story picks up with the funeral of the Walker patriarch and the fiancé of Cici Walker who’s accused of his murder, Kelvin Burton. While Cici and Naomi are trying to prove Kelvin didn’t do it... more strange things are happening at Heritage and when one question gets answered another pops up...

Such a well written book that flows from one scenario to another. Lots of suspense, steamy romance, heartbreaking, complex relationships, twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat!!

Really need the next book, please....

The fire you hold is the next book in the Heritage series and I have been trying to read it as quickly as possible because I know another is due out soon!

The book, much like the first focuses on a few different couples but this time focuses a bit more on Russell and Naomie and the happenings at the ranch❣️ Suffice to say, the sabotage is continuing at the ranch, but a couple new characters that are friends with Naomie are introduced, with the aim of helping the Walkers figure out what’s going on. A couple surprises headed your way and more😁

Keen to start on the Senator’s Daughter in the next couple of days💕

I love this series and Russell and Naomi’s love story is the struggle of a good man who has age, relationship issues and fear of loss. Their struggles are real and with the strange things happening on the ranch you will be kept on the edge of your seat. Many question are answered but there are a few more left for the next book of this amazing series. I honestly volunteered to review a copy of this story.

It was a great book !
In this book, we lay to rest a beloved character.
However, the mystery of who is trying to hurt the Walker family continues.
I loved to read more about Naomie as well.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!

Sabatoge Will Not Make the Walker Family Fall ❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤

You can add another feather to Ciana's cap with this off the charts follow up to A Death In Texas!!! With the heartbreaking death of the very much loved Walker patriarch Robert, this amazing family must move forward and uncover the sabotage of Heritage Ranch. Someone is after Kal, the Walkers and their land...but why. But not all is lost with the help of Naomie and her never-ending list of friends in high places. Whoever is after them will stop at nothing including arson and murder. But there is also happiness in the air for the Walker family with the addition of Naomie's friends that will breath new life into the ranch. Now just to get Russell off his duff and give in to his feelings for Naomi before she gets tired of his yoyo shenanigans. Just when things look like they are going forward Russell has a brain fart moment that sends Naomie on an unexpected vacation with Amber Walker. How long will she be gone and will Russell finally see the error of his words??? When it comes to the Walker family all is not always as they seem but they will have each other's backs. One "accident" after another, lives at stake, secrets revealed, and a horrible past merging with the present. Hang on folks it's a bumpy ride!!!! I'm not sure which I love more, the Walker family and friends or the creative mind that brings them to life. I just can't wait to see if my theories are close or if Ciana will throw in a surprise or two. I do know Russell needs to man up and take Naomi by storm, I think she'd make a great mom. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and most definitely purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Hanging on for dear life for the next Walker book.

First, I want to thank Ciana Stone for providing me with this book so I can give you this review.

The Fire You Hold by Ciana Stone is a continuation of the Heritage Series. As I say with each book in her series it best to read each one in order. This way you get to know the characters, the storyline, and well so you won’t be lost.

As always Syneca Featherstone does an amazing job with her graphic designs covers.

My heart strings were immediately pulled in the first chapter. A beloved character was laid to rest. Ciana knew how to bring out emotions out in each character and to her readers. But smiles too came to my face as stories and memories were shared about him.

My heart went out to Naomie since she was with her Dad trying to save him when he passed. She tried everything to save him but just couldn’t.

I totally forgot about the steamy chemistry between Mace and Bailey. Oh how Ciana reminded her readers!

What an eye opener learning about Naomie and Reese! Loved that conversation. Was a little surprised Ciana went there. Wouldn’t mind seeing more of this in her books.

When Robert Walker, patriarch of the Walker family was shot and killed, his granddaughter Cici’s fiancé, Kal, was suspected of the crime. As the family was divided on his possible guilt, Naomi urged them to get their own crime scene expert. Could this expert prove his guilt or keep him from facing a murder charge and trial? The family are still dealing with acts of vandalism at Heritage without knowing who or why the family is being attacked. Is someone out to destroy Russell, who maintains control over Heritage land, or his brother, Richard, who has plans to run for the highest office in the land. More suspicions arise when there is an offer to purchase Kal’s property, which is adjacent to Heritage, and then for Heritage land as well. What is it about their land that is causing someone to be so interested in the property? The Walker family is a large and proud family and they will not rest until their questions are answered. A totally engrossing story as almost the entire family comes together to guard their lives and their heritage. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. I was given an advanced Reader Copy from the Author and my review is completely voluntary.

If you haven't read anything from Ciana Stone you are missing out! The Fire You Hold is book two of the Heritage Series. It follows The Walker family whom were introduced several times in Ciana Stone's Heartbreakers and Heroes Series and Honky Tonk Angels series. You don't need to read either series but I recommend that you consider it, I promise you won't be sorry!
I am a huge fan of Ms. Stone's work! I have never been disappointed and utterly fascinated with her ability to weave romance, paranormal, psychological thriller and suspence into a story that I can't put down and can't wait until the next book.

I am not going to say much about The Fire You Hold because I would have to give to many spoilers and I would rather you get The book and read it for yourself but I will say the story follows several couples and Russell finally, FINALLY gets that stick that was stuck up is you know what out and well......read the book!

Family Threatened

The Walker family just keeps on giving. The book is just the latest edition to keep you in the loop of happenings with the family. Every line in this story will keep the reader engaged or should I say invested in what is going to happen next.

The author has written thought out story line the flows from one situation to the next without leaving this reader unsatisfied. This book is so realistic that you can visualize the characters and scenery clearly. This is like the best drama ever.

All I could think while reading was Ms. Stone got me again and I could not put the book down until it was done then got mad because the next book is not available.

My recommendation is if you are interested in reading about this family and their friends pick this book and the others for a good time reading fest you won't be disappointed.

Love reading about this family and hope to entice other reader to this author to encourage her to continue writing and this is why I read and review books that I enjoy.

Ms. Stone picks up the action right where it left off in A Death in Texas. Now that the patriarch has been murdered and Cal has been arrested, it is a race against the clock to prove if he is innocent or guilty as charged. Naomi, CiCi, and a few others believe he is innocent, while others are unsure. Naomi, the savior of this family (in my opinion), calls a friend to help recreate the scene of the murder.
Once they prove his innocence or guilt, the threats continue and they can't figure out what is going on. When Mace tries to save the children, his life hangs in the balance. Naomi's past comes back to haunt her and the Walker family, can they work together to stop it from hurting them any further? And finally, Russell makes a decision about his relationship with Naomi. Things won't be the same for the Walker clan, but can they stop the destruction before Heritage is destroyed.
I couldn't put this book down and can't wait for the next book in the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

The first book, A Death in Texas, ended with a shock. When I started reading this book, I expected to have forgotten some things because it has been a while.

I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I remembered everything that happened in the first book. It was just that memorable.

This book definitely did not disappoint. It was equally as good, if not better. So much is going on, but it is not hard to keep track of what is happening.

Naomie is the thread that holds everything together. She is the one that keeps the Walker family moving forward. There is something almost mystical or spiritual about Naomie.e

A story full of action, mystery, danger, and suspense. A family trying to hold it together and survive the evil that is pointing in their direction.

More of Naomie's story is told, but there is much left to be told in this saga, and I am really looking forward to the next book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.

Russel Walker is in a good place. In addition to owning Heritage, the most successful quarter-horse program in the world, he is also seeding fields to attract pollinators and runs a wind and solar field program to produce energy. His friend Kal Burton is interested in building a green city and has enlisted Russ's help. Things are progressing well until something goes wrong, very wrong. Suddenly, there is danger everywhere and you have no idea who, what or why!

This book is intense. There is a great deal going on that will keep readers focused, and flipping pages like crazy. Forget the exhale. You have a while to go before all things become clear in this series, but don't worry, there is plenty of "heat" and family drama to keep your attention focused.

I received a copy of the book with no obligation and have chosen to review this book of my own accord. I really like this series and the individual stories that are appearing as the books progress.

This is a fast-paced action romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. The action is intriguing, suspenseful, and heartbreaking. It’ll have you guessing what’s going to happen next up to the very end. From the very first in the series, you are drawn easily into the story and continue to be thoroughly invested in the players’ dynamics. The characters are extremely interesting and well-developed, and the storyline is filled with complex relationships and gripping, captivating conflict. While the relationships are growing and beginning to get their HFN, you will be left anxiously awaiting the outcome of the developing story. This is a wonderful addition to this amazing new series. It’s a wild roller coaster of emotions that will keep you on your toes, bring you to tears, and warm your heart, and I guarantee it’ll be one of the best stories you’ll read.

We start right where we left off With A Death in Texas, The situation doesn't look good for the family or for Kal for that matter but the family is not responding well after loosing Patriarch. Cici is feeling left out while making sure Kal has what he needs to get released. Naomi seems to be a God send helping everyone see their way through the pain of loss. Then there is the fiery situation going on with the Ranch, as well between Naomi and Russell dancing around each other. But a dark horse has come to town to kill, steal and destroy to get what the want. So many secrets and under currents you on the edge of your seat . Cannot wait for next installment. Great Characters and story line. I was given an ARC from the author without obligation. An honest review has been provided.

The Fire You Hold is the second book of the Heritage series which follows the Walker family with all the suspense, drama and intrigue with some mystery that follows them. Ciana Stone has written another great book, the story picks back up where we left off and takes you again on one heck of a journey. The characters are very intriguing and likable I absolutely loved the connection between Naomie and Russell. I was unable to put this book down with all the action and love for this family, along with some old enemies this book just grabs ahold of you and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait for more of the Walker family. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

The Walkers owners of the largest single-family ranch in the country and drama are their middle name. Russell who has vowed to never become involved again finds Naomi a challenge. The family dynamics are over the top and equal to any soap opera. Sabotage on every corner, pesticides in the water, cows dying, murder and arson to name a few problems. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat as you witness political sabotage, being framed for murder and more drama than you can imagine. A great book with strong characters and a page-turning story. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review.

Oh Lordy...something is seriously wrong at Heritage Ranch. Strange things are happening—and nobody knows why. Leave it to Ciana Stone to wrap a mystery within a mystery...and still give us a healthy dose of happiness for some and crushing hearts for others.
The Fire You Hold i has a masterfully written storyline with characters you love and love to hate. The plot twists and turns keep you guessing. There’s a lot going on in this book—it’s definitely a page turner! You definitely need to add this one to your TBR today! This is intense, suspenseful and sweet. We finally know about Naomie's secret past, and Russ is getting closer to giving in. Mace finds love, twice over, then suffers a shocking injury. Naomie helps Amber hide what she's doing while on vacation. Both Delaney and Edward are pressuring Kal to sell his land. There are more serious incidents of attack on Heritage grounds. Naomie invites some friends to help out with Kal's trial and to try to figure out why someone would want the land so badly. The next book should be informative and intriguing.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

There's a lot going on here. Emotional, very intense and suspenseful as the threats to Heritage are accelerated to a very dangerous level this time. Naomie is like super woman, great character who seems invincible and really loves this family. There is so much drama and so many couples. I am a little disappointed with the Naomie & Russell "romance" portion, just wasn't enough for me. Russell loves his family, I am not convinced that he really loves Naomie though. Regardless of that, this story adds some shocking twist and the series mystery plot does open up a bit more. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.

Once again Ciana Stone gives us another great read filled with drama, danger, suspense, a bit of romance, and loads of action in the 2nd book of the Heritage Series. Naomie & Russell finally make strides into a romance that has long been in the making, due to Russell's worry of their age gap. The roller coaster drama and mystery continues for reasons still to be revealed, as the vicious attacks are ongoing to the Walkers' Heritage Ranch by unknown forces. A fantastic series, I can't wait to read part 3 as they get closer to finding who is attacking their family. 5 Stars!

The Fire you hold
Hats off to Ciana Stone for once again a great series. If you thought book 1 was devastating, then your under estimating her powers of writing.
Naomi is good at her job and even better when she can get her way. She knows tons of people and seems to know who to ask the right questions to get the answers she needs. Only problem it seems someone from her past may be coming back and is tangling with the Walkers and their friends....and it's not good. Just hearing his name gives her the Willie's. But she can handle him. More importantly will she be able to finally get what she wants?

The Walker family drama continues...

Book 2 in the "Heritage" series continues right where book 1, "A Death in Texas", ended. There is enough drama, suspense and relationship issues in this book to make ANY soap opera jealous. I swear I can hear the theme song from "Dallas" in my head every time we visit Heritage Ranch! And, like any good soap, we are left wanting more at the end of the story. Hopefully we won't have to wait long.

This story of the walker family was full of plot twists and multiple sources of drama. I loved the walker family, they are all very intriguing and loving characters. Some of the situations seemed rushed abd unfinished but overall I enjoyed this story. I was routing for Russell to take his head out of his ass and admit his feelings for Naomi, I'm glad she is such an intricate part of the family. Petrov needs a dose of Karma big time, I can't wait to see what they have in store for their revenge and to see what happens next. Can't wait for the next one.

This one was a delight to get into continuing on with the characters you had begun to know and their dilemma's. This will also be a big picture on how deep can love go and what it can do. There is also a big mystery that has pieces that will be hard to fit if found. Russell is one character I found so interesting and can not get enough of with also his daughter neck to neck in capturing a reader. War is raging with the enemy I do believe under estimating the love of a family but this author will hold you captive too.

The second entry in this new "Heritage" series I'd even better than the first. The main characters in this one deal with a lot of drama and issues while trying to figure out their relationship. It's great to see or hear about characters from other series. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

Enjoying the Heritage Series.

I loved the continuing story of the walker family. My only complaint is I thought this was the last in this series and would answer more questions. I feel like I was left hanging a bit. No mention if there are more to come but I do love anything written by Ciana Stone. Hope there’s more.

A small-town thriller, with a family living together in a destructive environment. Twists, and turns, and tension seethed beneath the surface. A farm in danger, with a little spice of Science. Hard to figure out who the antagonist was throughout the story. Two people that are yearning for each others affection day-to-day.
