Poetry, Grades Pre K-1
Bedtime Rhyme is a poetry children's book. It is very simple and peaceful. If you want your child to fall asleep, read them this! Even if this happens, I will protect you. The theme is so sweet and appropriate for young children who are scared to go to bed because of their worries and fears. I recommend this book to children grades Pre K to first.

The poem runs as a parent telling their baby just how much they love them. Robbers, monsters, dreams--they don't stand a chance against a parent's love. The end of the book looks to a higher love, understood in part through the love of a parent but higher still--the love of God.
It's a sweet book, especially for preschool children.

I thought I was going to like this book... but I wound up thinking it might make a child who didn't otherwise fear robbers, monsters, bad guys... to begin to worry about those things at night. Cute rhyme if it didn't threaten an otherwise peaceful bedtime routine. :)

Love this book for my daughter! Although there is mention of monsters and robbers, the end justifies their mention. Very comforting, peaceful, and endearing bedtime story!

I think this poetry book is geared towards younger kids and would be a great book to read to your kids as a parent. I enjoyed reading the rhymes that flowed through the book, addressing every typical child’s fear before bedtime. It can bring reassurance to the child and help them sleep with peace of mind.
