Remington Kane

Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.

Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.

He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.

Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.

The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.

He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.

Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.

By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.

This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.

When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.

Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.

Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.

Actually a negative 5. Easily the worst book I have ever read. The writing style is juvenile: like listening to a seventh grader recounting a movie plot. Character development - non-existent. A real stinker. Probably self-published.

Don't quit your day job. Maybe a job at the USPS or McDonalds. Maybe a greeter at Walmarts.

This was recommended to me by Goodreads. You can get all of his books on Kindle Unlimited. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Rather have root canal.

Check out his reviews. Same people, same 5 star ratings. Jajajajaja. Probably JHS classmates, family and friends or fellow AA members. NO REAL PUBLISHER WOULD TOUCH THIS "AUTHOR" with a ten foot pole. PU.

A story with more twists than a pretzel.

The second book in a new series from Remington Kane that definitely meets the high standards I've come to expect from him. In this story Erika and Owen are assigned a new serial killer case in which the killer advises the victim ahead of time the day of their death. Although the suspects are identified early on there are numerous red herring clues that will keep you guessing. Definitely would recommend this.

Brilliant

Yet another page turner from Kane. Erica and Owens are on another case of a serial killer killing child molesters. Is the killer someone who once was a victim? What does ex tv star and View Tuber Marx to do with the killings? Is one of the victims of the child molesters the killer. Throw in Troy investigating another crime at the same time and you have plenty to keep you hooked until the end.

Definitely "My Cup of Tea"

This murder mystery will keep you up reading all night long, so start reading on a weekend!! LOL

Mr Kane is a master of developing his characters and this certainly lived up to his standards and did not disappoint.
At one time I think I had every character in the book figured as the killer(s). You will have to read till they end to learn the truth.

Remington Kane is one of my very favorite writers!! I can't wait to start book 2 in the series.

Second in a good series

I am enjoying this series. The first book was good. This was better. Good characters being developed nicely. Lots of action. Unlike the Tanner series, which is straight forward and direct, this series has twists and turns. It keeps you interested and guessing what will happen next. These are more mysteries than anything else. Recommended.

'The Appointment Killer' was an interesting read. I enjoyed the story line and how it played out. Well written. The characters are an interesting array of personalities. Erica and Owens make quite the duo. They are strong willed, determined and loyal. The story overall was thrilling and held a lot of intriguing scenarios. A great add to your tbr list.

Interesting and has so many plots was hard to stay involved!

Good but hard to finish....

There is something missing in this story..so much going on I had to go back over and over to stay up with all of it! First time in long time I almost put it away!! Not your best book, but I stayed to end and glad I did!!

The Appointment Killer.

Intrigue is the main event of this book. The character development is comprehensive and scintillating. Just when you think you have the answers, the plot thickens and you’re left guessing again.
I didn’t want this book to end!

Kane writes another fabulous story !

I gave this novel 4 stars for the complex story-within-a-story style and happily no salty language or gory murder scenes, but huge suspense throughout. A page turner.

Strong entry in Remington Kane’s new “Revenge” series. FBI agents, Erica and Owens, are sent to New York to investigate a serial killer who lets the victims know ahead of time about their appointment with death. Red herrings abound making the reader investigate the clues along with the protagonists.
