To address these concerns and to increase communication and collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, Casey Family Programs sponsored the Independent Living Forum in June 1999. This book captures the proceedings of that forum and presents chapters on policy, research, practice, and diversity, with a section highlighting programs and research from around the country.
