Aimed at clinical nurses and their managers, this work examines the current situation in continuing education in nursing. It includes information on credit accumulation and transfer, and educational pathways are suggested. The final chapter covers future planning, portfolios and profiles. The background to the present situation is examined through a review of the literature, consumers and providers views are discussed, and a variety of sources of continuing education are described. The aim is to facilitate decision-making about the type and format of continuing education.
