I hate concept mapping. So much. It doesn't help my understanding of non-linear concepts to view them in a visually non-linear way. I know for a fact that many people do, though. Perhaps it would be a helpful read for these people but for me it was just an attenuated torture of assigned excerpts and never a cohesive explanation of what to even do for a nursing "concept care map". Maybe it suffered as a learning aid by being assigned in the midst of literally thousands of other pages in actual text books in a 4 month period.
I honestly really detested this book--I even threw it a couple of times. I did read chapter 2 quite diligently and intend to TRY (again) to read the whole thing cover to cover and glean the important knowledge from it.
