A mandatory book to those who want to know the history, tales, legends, symbology, architecture, customs and beauty of the pilgrim road to Santiago de Compostela from its very starting points in France. The book is filled with written colors, forms, passion, and pictures the early relationships of two countries and a multitude of cultures that influenced each other through centuries. The only downside is that it really needs photographs, images that help the reader to appreciate the wonder that is described through words. Mind you, this book was written in the 1960's, but only with today's resources you can grasp only part of its inmense beauty.
