Named+Known: Uncovering the Identities of Women Who Plant Churches

Rate this book
We know that our creator God deeply knows us. This identity first as a child of God is the ultimate descriptor as we discover who we are and why we’re here. This book is a collection of stories written by 14 women: all of whom are church planters. They lead in diverse ways: as pastors, on staff at churches, in the marketplace, at home with kids, as single women, on the east coast, on the west coast, and everywhere in between. These stories are about learning, struggling, overcoming, and celebrating!

This was exactly what I needed to read. I should have read it when it was first available, but maybe the time of wrestling through some of the questions treated in the book better prepared me for what I'd find on its pages. It's thoroughly encouraging from beginning to end and I recommend it for all women in church planting, whether you run the coffee machine or are the team leader. The book is a lovely reminder that we're all in this thing together, on the good days as well as the bad.
