A good read here. First punished in 1830, Haldane gives a nice overview on the historic view of inspiration and authentication of the canon. I found the last 3rd of the book focusing on OT inspiration to be especially helpful. Sprinkle Publications re-published this back in 2014; it will be a good addition for any student looking for a more robust view of inspiration. I hope to do more reading on the subject in 2022.

A rigorously Scriptural defense of the doctrine of the verbal inspiration of the Bible. Short, but fairly comprehensive.

This is an excellent and well-researched defense of the true canon of Scripture in opposition to the Roman Catholic view and of the inspiration of Scripture.
