I just want to go back to before I read this, so I can relive the experience of "savoring" it again (see what I did there?) It was just that cute and adventurous. I love when authors take a mundane idea and breathe life into it.
This story reminds me of the saying "never judge a book by its cover." For the longest time the kids in Solomon's neighborhood, along with Solomon, thought a couple on their block were strange. It was not until Solomon was sent over there, that he would find out that they were quite magical. "Solomon's Secret" was such a fun read. I enjoyed the journey I was taken on.
