Groundbreaking research in the field of medicine demonstrates that regulation and communication within living organisms can no longer be adequately explained through strictly chemical mechanical means. This innovative work examines health from the viewpoint that illness is initiated by imbalances in the energy systems of the body and proposes that methods to detect and to correct these imbalances are integral to a comprehensive health system. Research demonstrates that tissue and organs have collective, coherent frequencies that regulate cellular processes; disruption leads to deregulation and illness. Providing ‘healthy’ frequencies, entraining the oscillations back to coherence, can often restore homeostasis in the body. This opens the possibility for sound and bioacoustic frequencies as an option to restore the natural balance. With advanced technology, we are now able to observe and monitor the presence of the body's subtle energy fields that have been previously undetectable by conventional methods. The research presented here demonstrates that we are missing a vital dimension in our current model of conventional medicine, the realm of bioelectromagnetic and subtle energy fields.
I easily read several books each month pertaining to sound healing research, history, tech, etc. This without a doubt is one of the most exciting pieces I have read in a long time in terms of showing some clinical evidence that sound is an effective holistic treatment modality.
This little nugget is recommended to anyone interested in the fields of sound and vibrational medicine. While the author sets out to investigate the efficacy of one vibrational healing modality in particular, Sayonic Therapy, (a sonic healing modality created by multi-grammy nominated recording artist, Kate Hart) what she accomplished is what will hopefully lead other researcher to further explore vibrational medicine as a viable therapeutic alternative to Western Medicine.
The book specifically seeks to prove the proposal that the healing effects of energy medicine in the form of bioacoustics frequencies can be objectively measured and monitored using the bio markers of Heart Rate Variability (HRV), autonomic nervous system coherence and acupuncture meridian analysis.
The author demonstrates through literature review (research studies available in the public domain), a correlation between dysfunction in any of the above mentioned biomarkers (HRV, ANS Coherence and acupuncture meridian analysis) and dysfunction, citing conditions such as cardiovascular disease, anxiety, depression and stress.
The author asserts that through the use of specific energetic therapy, (namely Sayonic Therapy) comprised of targeted bio-acoustic frequencies associated with homeostasis, the human system can be made more healthy.
The research sought to demonstrate two key findings:
The first goal was to validate the proposal that the healing effects of energy medicine could be measured objectively. The author indeed demonstrates that results of vibrational medicine can be objectively observed and measured by monitoring the bio-electromagnetic and subtle energy bodies.
This is an exciting finding for those of interested in vibrational medicine! I believe the author and her colleagues have laid a find ground to base future Objective studies upon, using the biomarkers of HRV, ANS Coherence and acupuncture meridian analysis. It is not perfect science, but it is the closest we have seen to demonstrating the effectiveness of energetic and sonic treatment modalities.
The sample size of the study was very small, but hopefully the results are affirming enough that others will take this research farther.
If you are interested in sound healing, vibrational medicine and Music Medicine, you will find this research both exciting and affirming. A must read for all interested in this fascinating field!
