1. It Doesn't End With A Bang 2. Just Another Junkie in Another MAD WORLD: TWO SHORT STORIES

Rate this book
Two very odd stories that will keep you captivated. The first one is about substance abuse and the second one is about suicide. It may seem like rough topics because I do uniquely explore mental illness. However, these two stories are comprised of oddities I have never seen in anybody else's writing. Perhaps that is a bold statement, but please give them a read and tell me, do they strike you as vibrantly odd? Yes, tough subjects but I wrote them in ways that are not directed towards mental health. It is the philosophy behind the stories that will lead you to this conclusion! They are thrillers and eye openers!

These are 2 short stories and they are surreal. They both deal with hopelessness and depression along with how individuals deal with those feelings. In both the person has decided to destroy/kill themselves, one via drug usage and the other via assisted suicide. They also discuss how others view the issues and the solutions that the main character has chosen in dealing with their depression. Both these stories and the poem prior to the first story are skillfully written, they are easy to read and to follow, they are also thought provoking. Depression is something that can happen at anytime to anyone and yet it is a discussion that most people would avoid like the plague. I encourage everyone to read these and then take some time to think about what you just read then re-read them. There is a message that needs to be heard and shared.

The first reads almost like poetry. I have to admit, I have felt the way the author describes his subject. Dealing with addictions is complicated. I used to teach math in a high-risk high school. Most of the girls were bussed in from a lock-up facility. One beautiful senior told me she was "in" for heroin use. She was afraid of being released because she would have to stay away from her mother - who was also an addict. What chance did this girl have? The second story I liked even better. Dark stories but reality can be dark. I highly recommend this book.
