A BEAUTIFUL STORY
My very first time reading this author's work and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well written and the character development was great. I loved the instant attraction between Ladi and Ace. Ladi was guarded, ambitious and about her business. Ace was a man who was gentle and willing to give his all to the woman he felt was deserving of it. And he found that in Ladi. I loved the patience and gentleness he had with her which made their relationship even better. There were a few bumps along the way but nothing could stop the untainted love they had for each other. Highly recommend reading this book. Looking forward to reading more of this author's work.

One of A Kind!!
I’ve read hundreds of books and not one has captured a love story so excellent and true.I adorned Ladi from the beginning never allowing anything or anyone to distract her.The bond with her aunt was amazing.The friendship developed between her and Angel was a sign of true friendship.The brotherly bond between Ace and Saint was amazing.The minimal drama was just enough to not be overpowering but the untainted Love was absolutely breathtaking.Ace and Ladi committed to forever and the proved forever at every obstacle or semi drama..I want a Forever Love !! This book was amazingly written and I wish I could give it 20 ⭐️‼️

Honest Review
This is first time read for me from this Author and I was not disappointed. This was one of those believable love at first sight stories. Ace was a true alpha Male but with a more sensitive side than most. Ladi was an independent young lady who went for what she wanted. I liked how she handled herself when she had to deal with those from Ace's past. I only wish we could have read more on Saint and Angel. I would definitely read more work from this author.

It was just ok
Sadly, the drama happening in the book was the most thrilling and exciting part of the whole story. Ace fell instantly in infatuation, lust and admiration of Ladi after first sight. Their love journey was a bit too predictable for me. Ace’s words to Ladi just too sugary sweet. Ladi was both independent, but also incredibly naive and trusting. I loved that both of their cultures were explored, that was different. Probably won’t remember this book next week though.

I liked how easygoing Ladi and Ace’s story was. They both knew what they wanted and felt and decided to lean into it instead of fighting the inevitable.
Ace and Ladi showed an emotional maturity that I really appreciated. I enjoyed reading their conversations because they were actually getting to know one another and wanting to build something together.
The only things stopping Ace from being perfect were his nicknames for Ladi and his overuse of them 😂 However, I did like when he’d say “talk to me, mama” whenever he wanted Ladi to speak her thoughts.
There was a bit of drama towards the end of the book that made me side eye Ladi and be like “girl, I know you not dumb 😒”. Ladi was so secure in her and Ace’s relationship but all of a sudden she wasn’t? Given the circumstances, heightened emotions gotta be the answer.
Definitely give this book a read if you’re looking for a laidback type of romance with a sprinkle of theatrics.

Ok read
This was an okay read, but a bit boring. I do love the love between ace and ladi,but I felt the author made Ace seem a bit weak to me. The way he handle Sasha i can see why she was able to run over him the way she was, there is a such thing as being firm and not disrespectful towards someone. He was being entirely too nice too her for me. Like someone else mentioned it was somewhat cheesy as well, and I hated the way the author kept repeating the reason he didnt want to tell her he was related to Saint. I feel that whole situation was overreacted, like was it really that serious? I understand being mad that he lied but to do all that crying was too much. Other than that nothing else really happened, but it was a sweet story.

Ladi ain't take no mess from Ace, but allowed Chasity to speak and spew her mess when she wanted smdh I didn't understand that at all. I could tell Chas wasn't really a friend to Ladi as soon as she met Ace. Chas is a frenemy. She was Ladi's friend until she saw that Ladi was really living her life then it her jealousy really came out and into play.
Ace was wrong for keeping his secret for so long, but I'm glad that Ladi was able to forgive him.
Towards the end I was so mad at both her and Ace.
Like Ace you should've left everything exactly where is was there was NO need to go back and Ladi, baby girl, you can't run at every sign of trouble. Like sometimes you have to talk things out.

Ladi is focused on her career goals & doesn't see herself making time for a relationship or anything other than what she's mapped out for the next 5 years. She already made it through college with no issues & now she just needs to land the right position to be able to move on to her next phase of life.
Ace is established in his career but his love life is totally nothing to write home about. But when he lays eyes on Ladi he knows right away she's the one for him. He just has to figure out a way to get her to see things the same way.

My goodness this story was refreshing and so amazing!!! Each page left me wanting more. Sasha was a piece of work and i was so happy when Ace made it clear that they weren’t gonna be together again. When he got with Ladi I saw great things for them. Such sweetness! I am happy with how their story has been told. I am ready to read so much more from this author. She is just amazing with the way she tells a love story.

Swoon worthy
Sometimes when you know, you just know. It takes time to know people, but in an instant you can know love. This story was great. It showed that when you are confident in your feelings for one another other people can't break your bond. The way Ace listened and loved on Ladi was enough to make anyone swoon.

They say when you know you know and Ace knew Ladi was it as soon as he saw her. They both went through things that could have made them give up on love but they didn’t. This story gave me hope that one day I will be able to find my true love. Can’t wait to read more by this author.

A great read
Ladi and Ace's story was beautifully written ! They had obstacles to over come like any relationship but through it Ladi formed a new friendship and old friends showed their true colors. Ivy Laika did a wonderful job with her debut novel I look forward to reading more books by her 🧡🧡

This book was amazing you did the dang thing!!! I want me a ace shoot if Saint was not married i would want him lol but i could not put this book down i loved how Ladi stuck by Ace side and did not let his past affect her or their relationship! Pure perfection!
This is absolutely the most passionate and romantic novel I've read in a long time. The symmetry and words have me speechless!!!!! Courtship is the key to real love....its the fertilizer to endure the weeds that are sure to grow. Ace and Ladi are #lovegoals!!!!! Ivy Laika this was an amazing read. Full of spice with a side of drama.

Great Read
This was my first read by this author, but not my last. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Well written and the characters were well developed. Ladi and Ace were instantly attracted to each other and I loved the way their relationship blossomed. Their were obstacles along the way, but the true love prevailed. Great job Ivy Laika

I loved this book. Thanks loved it so much that I read it twice smh. I loved Ladi and Ace together. The way that they loved, trusted, and grew together was just an amazing read all around. I wish there was a book about Saint and Angel story I know that would be a great read as well. Keep up the good work.

The story was good. But it needed a good edit to make it shine. I could feel the sweetest connection between the couple. A good read even with the editing issues. Give the story a try.

It Touched Me
I enjoyed this book. It pulled me in from the beginning. I couldnt putnit down. It taught you its ok to have love and still not loose yourself. Aces love for Ladi was some special and heartwarming. I love forwatd to more books by this author.

Outstanding
This was my first time reading a novel by this author and I must say it was fantastic. So much so that I read the book in 4 hours. Her word choice was exceptional, the characters were relatable, and it was a great love story.

Soooooo good!
This is my first book by Ms. Laika, but I am definitely a fan!!! I loved the way Ace loved Ladi. It was so natural and effortless. Their connection was potent and I'm glad they didn't let trash friends and exes stop their love journey. Definitely a great read!

Love a good black romance
I never read any books penned by this Author before. This book was a great start to introducing me to her work, just enough drama and love. Loved the characters and the uniqueness of their names. Loved the Caribbean roots also.

Ladi and Ace were meant to be. As soon as she saw him she felt it. Ace did too he knew Ladi was the one for him. Chastity was never a friend. Sasha should have been left Ace go. Don't chase a man who don't want you. Glad Ace and Ladi got their happily ever after.

Amazing Storytelling
I really enjoyed the journey of Ladi & Ace. Their supporting characters are real and raw. Ivy Laika does an amazing job of giving the characters depth and bringing th4 settings to life.

This was the first book I’ve read from this author and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the love story of Ladi and Ace. The story represented a pure love and how it can truly overcome the obstacles of life. I definitely recommend this book.
