About the author

Franco Nasi was born in Reggio Emilia in 1956 and graduated at Bologna University. From 1995 to 2001, he was Italian language assistant at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs at Loyola University (Chicago) and the Chicago University. From 2001 and 2005, he was Adjunct Professor at the Modena and Reggio University and since 2006 he has been confirmed as researcher in contemporary Italian Literature in Reggio. He translated and edited aesthetics texts and literary theory by S.T. Coleridge, W. Wordsworth, J.S. Mill and collection of poems by Brian Patten and Rogen McGough. He wrote with various magazines including "Il Verri", "Studi di Estetica", "Nuova Corrente", "Testo a Fronte", "Italica", "Nuova Prosa", and edited the volumes "Intorno alla Via Emilia. Per una coreografia culturale dell'Italia contemporanea" and "West Lafayette" published by Bordighera Press in 2001. The two volumes "La Malinconia del traduttore" and "Specchi comunicanti. Traduzioni, parodie, riscritture are on the theory and practice of literary translation.
