Jason Friday’s family business has kept the grooms of Delmarva in style for over forty years. Hannah Robinson’s family has been doing the same for brides for nearly thirty.
A squabble over twenty years ago turned the two families into mortal enemies. As their businesses grew, their rivalry only became more cutthroat...until Über Brides sets up shop in Rehoboth Beach. This bridal superstore chain is known for slashing prices, squeezing every drop of discounts from their vendors, and running family-owned shops out of business.
The days of the Fridays and Robinsons serving the brides and grooms of Delmarva are numbered unless Jason and Hannah can band together to run Über Brides out of Rehoboth Beach. Can they manage to work together and ignore their growing attraction to each other? Or will they lose both their jobs and their families when they succumb to their desires?
Wedding War is part of the Romance in Rehoboth Series. If you like your romcoms sweet, funny and semi-clean, if you enjoy a small town setting, and if you like your heroines curvy, strong, and a little bit snarky, then by the time you're done reading, you're gonna want to move to Rehoboth Beach! It's a real place--in Delaware. I know, right? Delaware has beaches and people actually go there? On purpose? I'm as surprised as you are.
These books can be read in any order, but if you're one of those types... Then here ya Book 1: Music Man (Claire and Jack's Story) Book 2: The Flip (Sonnet and Drew's Story) Book 3: Plot Twist (Lindy and Meric's Story) Book 4: Badge Bunny (Brynne and Chris's Story) Book 5: Wedding War (Hannah and Jason's Story) Book 6: Stage Mom (Larissa and Mateo's Story) Book 7: Shark Bite (Megan and Shark's Story)

Wedding War is the fifth book in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L Montgomery. You don’t have to have read the other books in this series to be able to enjoy this one. But, I do recommend reading them anyway- because they are really wonderful stories and well worth the read, too! Jason Friday`s family operates a local business catering to grooms. They are the sworn enemies of Hannah Robinson’s family- who owns the local Bridal shop. The feud has been on-going, but what happens when a wedding one stop shop chain store sets up in town? These two will need to come together to take on the big business, and find a way to work together to save both their family businesses. What happens here makes for a funny and very romantic story! Definitely one of my favourites of the series, so far!
I loved that in addition to the great story line, that this book kept me laughing nearly the entire time! I loved the different "tasks" they came up with to try to take down Uber Brides, especially at the end!
I thought the tension and feud between the families was a nice added touch. The underlying reason for it was believable especially when you looked at everything at stake.
Loved the connection between Jason and Hannah!
This was the first book I've read in this series, not having read the others did not take away from this book.
I look forward to the next in this series and am thankful to the author for giving me the chance to review this amazing book.
Wedding War by K.L Montgomery a five-star read that will make you want to go to war. This is number five in the Romance in Rehoboth series, but each one can be read as stand alone as they are set in the same place but feature a different couple. Hannah and Jason will make you smile, they will make you fight on their behalf. The back and forth is amazing and will just make you chuckle so hard, all of these stories have been good, but this one just seems to have that extra spark.
It's the case of the Hatfields and McCoys, only Rehoboth style. Growing up, the Robinsons and Friday's kids were always told to stay away from one another, so they never got a chance to get to know each other. But when a new, big chain wedding vendor comes into town, it's time to put the squabble to rest and take down the company threatening to shut down their businesses. That's exactly what Hannah decides to do.
Fresh out of college, she's returned home to run her family's company. But Über Brides is known for forcing the smaller mom and pop shops out of business. So what better way to rid the town of Über Brides than to work with her enemy, Jason Robinson, and take them down from the inside. Only, now that she has officially met Jason, he's not the horrible person she was raised to believe, and Jason would say the same of Hannah.
Let the Wedding War commence!
These two are such amazing characters. Strong, funny, and caring, they are perfect for each other. Montgomery has written a perfect dual dialogue of hilarity and heat, where I found myself laughing in one minute, and then swooning the next. I thought I had heard everything until Hannah thought "Where's the brain bleach when you need it." I might have woken up my partner laughing when I was reading this well past bedtime. I love the energy in the book and of course, I love that previous characters made their appearances because I've grown fond of all of them.
I don't think I have laughed this hard in a while, and I know that every time a new K.L. book comes out, I declare it my favorite, but I think of this series, it's definitely the best. The books, the couples, the scenarios just keep getting better. *Bravo!*
Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) By: K.L. Montgomery 5 out of 5 stars
The story Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K.L. Montgomery is a wonderful romantic comedy. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Jason Friday and Hannah Robinson. Jason is intelligent, funny, charming, and handsome. Hannah is smart and beautiful. Both of their family’s business has been open for a long time. Both businesses have a good reputation helping out brides and grooms. There has also been a feud between their families for a very long time. Hannah and Jason have found out that Uber Brides are coming to Rehoboth Beach. Knowing that the days of their family’s business may be numbered Jason and Hannah band together. There is an attraction growing between these two. Will they be able to work together? Will they save their business? Will they take a chance and give in to the feelings they have for one another? Read this book to find out. This is such an entertaining book to read. There are moments that I was smiling and laughing out loud. I grew to care about the characters of Jason and Hannah with each chapter that I read. I also enjoyed reading about how Hannah and Jason interacted/bantered back and forth with each other. There are also characters in the book that have been brought forward from the previous books. It is wonderful to read about them again. This is a wonderful book with amazing and unforgettable characters. Highly recommended.
I give Wedding War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K. L. Montgomery, 5 stars.
This series continues to get better and better with each book. This is yet another fun book in the series. A fun, modern day romantic comedy, this book has the Romeo and Juliet feel (without being so tragic) of two families who hate each other. Why? Jason and Hannah have no idea, but that doesn't stop the attraction they have for one another -- even if it means sneaking behind their familes' backs. At the same time, Hannah is determined to get to the bottom of this feud. To make matters worse, there us a company threatening to put both their family businesses out if business. What are they willing to risk to find happiness?
The love story is very sweet in this story. But that is not all this book has to offer. It is quite endearing and fun, and a bit suspenseful to see if they can overcome their obstacles. There are so many funny things in this book, but I do not want to give it away. You will know what I mean once you read it. To me, this is the funniest book in the series. Oh and the comment about the naked mole rat -- I literally laughed out loud. And of course, the fact that this series is set in Slower Lower (Southern Delaware for those not familiar) really makes me love it all the more since this is where I live.
If you are a fan of romantic comedies, I highly recommend both this book and series.
Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth #5) by K.L. Montgomery 5 of 5 Stars Wedding War, is an enemies to lovers comedy romance, it can be read happily as a standalone story and the books in the, ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series do not need to be read in order to enjoy the wonderful stories by Montgomery. Each story has a strong but quirky heroine and a down to earth hero who loves them, your guaranteed a happy ending but only after some drama and fun along the way and each story has the background setting of the beautiful Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Both Jason Friday’s family and Hannah Robinson’s run a wedding business. Jason’s makes sure the grooms of Delmarva are stylish and Hannah’s family ensures the bride's are happy on their big day. The two families have had an undoing feud for over twenty years but when bridal superstore, Über Brides sets up in Rehoboth Beach the two rival families must work together to save their wedding businesses. However Hannah and Jason did not intend to fall in love in the process, but their chemistry sizzles off the page. This was a fun romantic story with plenty of romance, comedy and steamy chemistry between Jason and Hannah. It had a fascinating storyline with the two main characters working in wedding businesses and I loved how the enemies to lovers relationship developed between Hannah and Jason.
Wedding War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K.L. Montgomery
5 Stars
Wedding War gives us the Hatfields and Mccoys feel with a child from each trying really hard not to like each other.
Jason and Hannah both run family businesses, their families have been at war for over 20 years and when a big time superstore moves into town threatening these family businesses these two must find a way to pull together if they have any hope of keeping their hometown businesses afloat. This makes for some of the best reading, the lol moments were plenty, the wondering what would happen next moments were plenty and watching these two trying to avoid their attraction was the best. This was one that had my hubby looking at me like I was losing my mind, trying not to laugh out loud sometimes is worse than just letting it go.
I loved this story, I think every one of them in this series become my favorite when I’m done, this whole series is amazing and this author is in a class of her own!!
Read them all seriously..they all could be read as stand alones but characters weave in and out of all the books and I just know you would want all of the stories!
Family feud turns combined efforts against a greater enemy. Wedding War is the fifth novel in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. It follows Jason Friday, one of Meric's close friends and his journey in getting to know the youngest Robinson, Hannah.
Being a local business is tough anywhere, but those in Rehoboth Beach do pretty well. That is until a retail giant, bride superstore comes into town. Hannah Robinson is finally home, fresh from getting her MBA and ready to take over the family business. When she hears the news, she takes action into her own hands and calls upon Jason for a team effort.
Jason has worked at Friday's Formalwear since high school and plans to take it over with his brother when his father retires. But what happens when he is ready to forget the family feud when no one else is?
Can Hannah and Jason unite against the retail giant and find a way to chase them out of town? Can they also get to the bottom of why the feud even exists? You'll have to read to find out!
Funny, sexy romcom interracial romance with the daughter and son of feuding rival family businesses that join forces in stealth to bring down the new Uber Brides that has opened in their town. She is the mole who is hired by Uber Brides with the goal of sabotaging it from within. He is the mastermind behind the sabotage.
As they make plans together behind their families' backs, they start to give in to the attraction that initially started in high school. In their mid-20s, they both are curious as to the start of the feud, which no one seems to quite know the real story. Once it is revealed, they have to decide whether it is worth it to continue the feud or finally let it go.
There were laugh out loud hilarious scenes and sexy ones. This worked well as a comedy and a romance. This is a fun addition to the Romance In Rehoboth series.
Note: I was a beta reader and got an advance reader copy. This is my honest opinion. I also preordered it.
I just finished reading Wedding Wars by K.L. Montgomery. This is the fifth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series and I loved it just as much as the previous four books.
This story is about star crossed lovers Hannah and Jason. They are both involved in their family wedding businesses. They have always been told to stay away from each other due to some type of feud between their respective families although neither knows exactly what the feud is about. When a common enemy comes to town that threatens to put both families out of business Hannah and Jason decide to form an alliance to save the family businesses.
I love the hilarious antics that ensues, none of which I want to give away here but just trust me all of them are well worth the read and will have you laughing out loud.
I loved this story!. This story is part of the Romance in Rehoboth series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading all of this series, they are awesome. This is a well written story that the author has created details that make you feel as if you are part of the story. I found the characters to be connectable and made the story engaging. This is a story about Jason and Hannah. Their families have been at war forever. They find themselves attracted to each plus they need to mend things to be able to work together. Will they find a way to work together to save businesses? What will fate have in store for these two is meant to be seen. I loved the chemistry between these two. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what fate does indeed have in store for them.
I was given an advanced copy and I'm voluntarily leaving my review. K.L. Montgomery is absolutely AMAZING with her words. This is the fifth book of a series but can be read as a standalone but better if read as the series. This is a Hatfields and Mccoys or rather the Fridays and Robinson story but the feud is so old nobody remembers especially the two youngest siblings on each side don't understand or know anything about the feud, they just know they need to save their families businesses. Both the families own bridal shops and need to figure out how to save them from the new and upcoming trendy shop. So Jason Friday and Hannah Robinson have to figure out what the feud is all about plus try and save the families businesses. This is a Must read and ONE-CLICK book.
This story was a lot of fun to read. The whole concept of the wedding war was a little silly, but that's exactly what made it such a joy to read - because however silly it may be, the characters themselves brought out the realism needed to bring this story home. I love the character development, the family history that isn't what it seems, and just the idea of such camaraderie in the wake of uncertainty. The whole story has this lighthearted joyfulness throughout, despite the circumstances facing these two families, and you can't help but fall a little in love with them. I definitely recommend this book if you want a great romcom to cheer you up, make you laugh and shake your head at the silliness, and maybe even give you that little "awww" feeling.
2 feuding families, 2 businesses each their own yet similar. One family make grooms look their best on the big day, the other styles the brides for the special day. After a feud years ago, the 2 families no longer get along. Can the children of these two feuding families bring a happy ending to each of their family businesses? Enter the big box giant Uber Brides that has a tendency to close down the small mom and pop wedding stores. Can Jason and Hannah find a way to bring success to each of their family businesses and make Uber Brides run the other way? A fun and enjoyable read that's entertaining from page one.

Wedding War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K L Montgomery. This is such a fun story. Its the story of Jason Friday who runs his family's Wedding business keeping grooms looking good for over 40 years and Hannah Robinson who runs her family's business keeping bride's looking their best for nearly 30 years. Their families have hated each other for over 20 years and even though they really don't know why they will continue the feud. The only problem a bridal superstore in Rehoboth Beach that may put them both out of business unless they can work together. As they try to work together they are growing more and more attracted to each other. Will they be able to make their businesses last and more importantly will they fall for each other in the process?
K. L. Montgomery is a mastermind putting comedy and romance together. She writes about the funny moments in a relationship and not the difficult moments. Her characters bring life to the story. This is book 5 in the Romance in Rehoboth series. It can be a stand alone book, I highly recommend reading all the books. This book is all about Jason and Hannah. Jason’s family has the grooms specifically. Meanwhile Hannah’s family has the local bridal shop. Now these families have had a feud going on for most of the existence of the shops. But now there is a new enemy of both shops, a one stop shop chain store. Can Hannah and Jason work together to save their shops or will the new store succeed in closing the two local stores?
Wedding War is the fifth book in K.L. Montgomery’s Romance in Rehoboth universe and I am sure once you started with the series you have found yourself reaching for the next and next and next and now we have the Wedding War that is like a wedding reality show on the book pages! You can simply close your eyes and picture all those shows in front of your mind’s eye and mash them together and you get Jason and Hannah’s story or actually, don’t forget to throw in a twenty year old feud and a superstore chain bridal shop and you have the Wedding War! I promise you action and laughter and romance and some of you might swear off of getting a wedding planner while some others might not wait to get one!
Jason`s family owns a Tuxedo shop and Hannah`s family owns a Bridal shop when a one stop shopping Wedding shop opens up in town at a very discounted rate threatening to put out of business all the smaller family owned shops that has been handling the wedding business in town. To stop them Hannah and Jason must learn how to put their families hatred for each other aside and learn how to work together to save both their family businesses. This is a really cute and funny story of all they do to stop the giant chain from ruining their town.

Wedding War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Book is the fifth book in the series by K.L. Montgomery. This book is full of quirky situations and witty banter. It is a really fun book to read . I was hooked on the very first page and couldn’t put it down until I finished. Jason Friday and Hannah Robinson’s families have been in a feud for over twenty year. But these two must band together to beat the big box wedding store that moved into town and put pressure on each of their wedding stores. This is a great series and I would highly recommend all of the books in this series.
Wedding War by K.L. Montgomery is the fifth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series. This is a fun, entertaining series that will have you laughing and crying in equal measure. These books are all standalones however they are all worth reading! This book has to be my favourite in the series. Hannah and Jason are such an entertaining couple. The chemistry between them could be felt on each page. They were so engaging that I couldn’t help but connect with them. As with all the books in this series the author has done a great job of creating a brilliant story. The whole things makes you feel like you are there. If you haven’t already done so then you really need to read these books today!
What can I say? I loved this book. Jason and Hannah are so sweet, not to mention Tank. The family feud is well handled and amusing. I actualy preferred the economic theme to this book, the whole David and Goliath aspect which was hilarious at times, poignant at others but always relevant to modern society. A whole lot of fun to read and beautifully crafted with fantastic characters and a real sense of community. Can be read as a standalone but the rest of the series is equally good so it would be a shame to miss out on it. .
Hannah moves back in to town after being away at school. Jason works a his family business. Hannah’s parents own the bridal shop and Jason’s own the tux shop. The families have had a feud for a long time. The Robinsons and Fridays! This story is sweet and all about family and friends and how a small town doesn’t want or need a big corporate store in there town. Hannah and Jason find out what happen to start their families feud and Jason knows that it can end soon. You’ll want to read this book and find out their family story and if Hannah and Jason end the feud.
This was a charming and sweet story about 2 people overcoming the family feud that has kept them on either side of the enemy line all their lives in order to team up against the corporation threatening to destroy their community of local businesses. The characters were well developed, and the storyline came together nicely. Family differences, blind beliefs, gossip, friendship, consequences, trust, etc., were all undercurrents in this fast paced narrative.

I loved this story of 2 families who don't get along and are forbade to have anything to do with each other. 20 years later the two youngest children of each family become reacquainted. What ensues is nothing short of a tale that rivals the Hatfield & McCoys and the Capulet & Montagues. Minus the dark drama. With her traditional flair and talent, Ms. Montgomery weaves a tale that will leave you laughing and sighing! Wedding War is hilarious, witty and full of charm. Come join the wonderful cast of characters of Rohoboth and enter a world that you'll wish you could walk into everyday.
Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) is the fifth book in the series and such a joy. It is crazy and wonderful and unexpected. How KL comes up with the ideas she does I would love to know. Because if it is based on anything real then I need to know. I laughed until I cried and it was just what I needed to escape reality. I absolutely love the band of friends who are more than happy to help out with any wild and crazy things needed when helping friends in need. It is almost a slap stick at it’s best.
Wedding War by K. L. Montgomery was a romantic and fun read. I loved the characters Jason and Hannah. They were realistic and developed well. I lived how they changed as the story progressed. The story itself was easy to follow and entertaining. Not once was I bored and I actually had a hard time putting this book down. The scenery was beautiful and descriptive. I loved this book and also that it can be read as a standalone in its series. I highly recommend it.
This was a really fun read. I don't know that this could be called an Enemies to Lovers story, because Hannah and Jason don't even know why they are supposed to be enemies. When a common enemy moves in, they ignore family warnings and become allies. I love that the characters from previous books in the series show up to help out, but you don't need to have read those books to enjoy this one. The shenanigans had me laughing throughout the book.
The fifth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series is a book I found myself laughing with. There are surprises, drama, two families that won't talk to each other because of something that happened in the past, a company that does not care for its workers, and romance. I enjoyed reading this book and I want to read more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.
The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind. Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
