Starts off poorly written, which was solved by excessive skimming. Then it becomes a canon rehash, with 'supa kewl competent' protagonist who figures out nothing until it's too late (hence the canon rehash). (Butterfly effect doesn't exist, no one communicates, basic logic eludes everyone). The main addition to canon is that 'supa kewl man is supa kewl and knowledgeable and stuff' and he, incomprehensibly, can erases years of deepseated prejudice and terrorism by saying 'omg friends are supa good at doing stuff together, mo friends mo powa dudes!'.
According to other reviews it does eventually leave canon, for new nonsense. 'supa kewl man' later on becomes 'insane chaotic evil rapist and torturer man who dabbles in self mutilation' due to random stuffs(?). Of course, because he's chaotic evil, logic and plot are superseded by random acts of violence, or so I've gathered. Either way, this is really bad and it's only going to get worse from here.
