It was just supposed to be a family journey to see the wonders and waters of that strange land to the north, but the land of the north had become a battle ground with a recently freed slave and some mountain men. And when he was joined by a band of Blackfoot renegades that were bent on driving all the whites from their territory and ridding the mountains of their enemies, the monstrous black man willingly lent his might to the blood-letting in that north country. When Tate's family became endangered, the wrath of the Rocky Mountain Saint came to life, and he wasn't feeling like the compassionate helper he was known to be. Hindered by the rugged Absaroka mountains, an ambush in the wilderness, and his own fears, Tate questioned himself and whether he could make it to rescue his family, but would soon find that he would face an even greater fight and possibly a fight he could not win. Don't miss this ninth novel in the epic Rocky Mountain Saint series by B.N. Rundell

Now finally realizing his life-long dream, B.N. has turned his efforts to writing a variety of books, from children’s picture books and young adult adventure books, to the historical fiction and western genres which are his first love.
Another outstanding Saint, family and friends story wit excitement from beginning to end. Tate never ceases to amaze me with his ever present protection of everyone he loves. This story has a little different twist than the previous right books, but the camaraderie between all the good guys is very entertaining. Never a dull moment throughout the entire book, and the anticipation is definitely enough to keep the reader's undivided attention from beginning to end. Great job once again by Mr. B. N. Rundell!
Never read a book that isn't worthy of the five stars, and this one is one of Tate Saint's best episodes yet! Great storylines that successfully entertains the reader's undivided attention from beginning to end. As always, the characters definitely befitting of their assigned roles, and the author definitely impressive with his apparent research before striking a key. The camaraderie among the true leaders of the friendly guys is definitely impressive. There is humor, romance, action and above all, a fully integrated friendship between the good guys. These stories are so very wholesome and very family-friendly oriented adventures, with unbelievably heartwarming experiences from beginning to end. Believe me when I say that the entire story is outstanding from beginning to. The author is a great one to get addictive with, as you will find him entertaining and informative. Most certainly recommend this book, and the other right stories, to be an entertaining and endearing series worthy of following. I do recommend that you read the series in order, but in reality they do stand alone. Definitely an entertaining selection of stories that will touch your heart and will definitely entertain your for awhile. You loss, if you fail to follow these heartfelt recommendations!
Heart-Warming and Sometimes Scary Tale of the Early Frontier! Just when it seems Rundell can't raise the writing bar any higher than his last extremely enjoyable frontier tale, he does so! In addition to creating easy-reading, exciting stories with realistic characters and scenes, he weaves in a wealth of credible facts and interesting information of that time in a manner that greatly enriches readers. Another element Rundell blends into each novel is the main character sharing his encouragement of and belief in God and his son, Jesus, to comfort other characters in need of hope.

***SPOILERS***Lots of Characters in this one. Saint wants to start breeding horses and figures the Nez Perce would have some. He and his family stop by Knuckles village to pick him and his wife up. Caleb and his wife are freed slaves who head west to learn the mountain ways. After Caleb's wife is brutally murdered my the mountain men they hired on with, Caleb kills them all. Some renegade Indians witness this and add him to their band. However, they don't respect women any more than those that killed his wife, and he soon becomes disillusioned. The Trapper's brutally murder his wife causing Caleb to kill them and then seek revenge on all white men. Meanwhile Tate Saint and his family head to do some horse-trading with a Nes Perce Indians. The family traveling and the Indians attacking people. I was so glad to see Caleb finally come to his senses and realize all white men are not evil. Thank you, B.N. Rundell, for an awesome read.
I was furnished this book free in return for a honest review.I have read many of B.N. Rundell's books and have enjoyed all of them. This is not the best one that I have read, but I still rate it an excellent five star. I recommend it to all who enjoy a good read.
The series of Rocky Mountain Saint books so far has been excellent in both content and storyline. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and would recommend this author to anyone who enjoys a good western. Well worth 5 stars rating even more if available.
Another wonderful book of Mountain families and lessons learned!
I really enjoyed this book when I started I wondered about this family and how they would meet the responsibility of parents . They differently met their challenges and was always conserved for their family. Love really showed when it came to hard decisions. It was a great book!
Another exciting chapter in the life of the Saint family. The addition of individual characters expands the story to it's brilliance. Mr. Rundell has made the wait worthwhile. Looking forward to my next trip into the majesty mountains of the Saints.
This was a good read, the St. is one character that doesn't get old or boring. The author has a good feel for the people who he writes about, and brings them to life for us to enjoy.
Sitting on the front porch, finishing breakfast, coffee, this story. They are all good. The early morning hours of calm in the city have their own beauty. Oh, good characters, good action, good story.
I truly enjoy reading the work of this author. Stories are well told and enjoyable. Gets a little heavy on the religious messages at times but not enough to keep me from buying and reading the next book in the series. The book is fun enjoy!
They keep getting better with each book! Loved this one a lot with the wolf pup! I grew up with hunters in the family, but I couldn't make myself pull the trigger. Instead I tended camp, took care of the horse's, and caught the memories on camera! Awesome writing!
