A Casa dos Patudos
Quando temos amigos em perigo, descobrimos que somos mais fortes do que pensávamos. E aí tudo pode acontecer!
O Hamish é um rapazinho da cidade, habituado a uma vida confortável. Mas quando os pais lhe dizem que vai passar as férias na quinta da Tia Helen, que mal conhece, o Hamish fica em estado de choque.
Para um miúdo muito pouco habituado a animais, não é fácil ver-se no meio de tanta bicharada: uma data de cães, uns gatos fugidios, uma vaca, um bode e a sua amiga ovelha, patos, galinhas, uma tartaruga e até uma porquinha. E à medida que os dias passam, mais animais aparecem!
O Hamish percebe então que o refúgio para animais da tia Helen está em perigo, e que sustentar uma quinta enorme com tantos inquilinos é muito dispendioso. Talvez o Hamish tenha algumas ideias para salvar a Casa dos Patudos. Só que para isso, vai precisar da ajuda de todos os amigos. Será que vão conseguir?

Another lovely adventure of young kids discovering what it is like to enjoy nature and the company of pets. A discovery of the intelligence and wit of not only dogs, but also piggy's, cows and calfs, donkeys and chicken! The blossoming of the young boy's personality, in this open atmosphere where each one learns that our place together makes sense and functions way better through cooperation and loving care.

Loved this book, our hero Hamish (Miksha) goes to stay with his aunt while his jet setting parents are travelling to Japan.
There is a lot of information about Animal sanctuaries. and a so much about Miksha's development from a sullen fashion conscious teenager to a responsible and well rounded young man, who takes a great deal of interest in making sure that Paw House will pay its way.
But so many ups and downs along the way, this is as enjoyable for adults as for children. Anyone with an interest in animal welfare will love this book. Highly recommended.

Beautiful book by Megan Rix.
This book is set in more modern times than than most of Megan Rix's books I won't say any thing else so I don't spoil it for you guys but over all lovely book that shows that even people that have never had any thing to do with animals can fall in love with them.

Was disappointed with how much vegetarianism was pushed throughout the book, bearing in mind this is aimed at a young audience
