This is a cute counting book for numbers 1 - 10. The elephant illustrations are cute and the text is repetitive, which is perfect for the very young learning to count.

Found this book at an estate sale yesterday. The illustrations are kid-friendly and the anticipatory rhyme is a good idea, though not sure how well it works if a child is reading it alone.

I got kind of bored, I liked how the elephants were all different colors though

This is a counting book. It's simple and clever. Each additional number is prepared in rhyme so that the child is able to guess what the next number is, for example, "nothing to do/two." The new number shows up on the following page. I liked that the new number is the same color as the new elephant; this detail deserves the 5th star in the rating.
