The story is about a little fish who is coming to stay in a big aquarium full of bigger and older fish. Little Fish is frightened by her surroundings and worried about what the other fish will think of her. With help from some friendly older fish, she gradually becomes more comfortable and confident. In time, she comes to love her new home. On the final page, Little Fish's story has come full circle. She introduces herself to a young newcomer, hoping to befriend her, just as an older fish once befriended a lonely and frightened Little Fish.Children face the challenges of being in new environments and meeting new friends all the way into adulthood. The journey of Little Fish will be enjoyed by children while helping them build social confidence. This picture book is meant for children ages 2 to 8 years old.
A Little Fish in a Big Aquarium by Drew Wohleber is a very short book but the illustrations are just incredible! Lovely, colorful art that put a smile on my face!
This was a simple story of a fish who has to adjust to a new life and make new friends. The illustrations were beautiful. The author's letter in the back of the book was very touching.
Beautiful graphics catch the eyes and make this book superb. Page by page gives happiness and imagination to readers. This book is recommended to children.
What a great story to teach kids to have condidence.
I enjoyed this book and I think this would be a great confidence builder for the very young or even those who are very shy. Such beautiful art work as well. For these reasons I felt this book rated five stars.
