Entertaining futuristic listening 🎶🔰

This is a free box 📦 set on Amazon. Oh how I love 💘 those free kindle e-books.

I listened 🎶 to these individually as each is free on Amazon. Each story is different with interesting well developed characters lots of action, misdirection, and violence leading to each conclusion.

I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of futuristic fantasy Sci-Fi adventure novels 👍🔰. 2023 😀👒😡🏡

“Existence is not by itself enough. It’s who you are, why you exist, who you love that matters.”
I’m a great admirer of Allen Kuzara’s writing, both in science fiction and dystopian/post apocalyptic genres.
This trilogy is finely written, with a great detailed world building. A high tech perfectly described. The politics involved within the corporates for a defensive strategy is very well outlined, the geopolitical desk-war, the sociology well defined and thought provoking, much to absorb, and very intense. The momentum climb is deliciously unnerving, yet for every revelation and discovery we find another mystery.
This has been one intense trilogy! Sci-fi adventure full of page-turning action, galactic battles, political deception, heart-wrenching tragedy, and courageous hope.
A reflexive socio-political debate throughout the story, makes it compelling and thoughtful. The end is totally unexpected or expected, depending on how we grasp the situation. An excellent science fiction trilogy, highly recommended!

I love the title! An action packed start, with a rather slow book 2, and simmering ending. Overall, great writing, and characters. I do hope that the author does revisit the series. It does have great potential. The main character has depth and life, while the NPCs (the supporting roles) don't seem to have much background. I did like the fact the ending was well tied up while leaving enough open for a continuation of the series.

"Choose your pain."
In the first of the three book box set of the Anti Life series, it was noticed that a deep space data probe was acting strangely, emitting green-blue bursts of energy, apparently at regular intervals. Just retired John Alvarez was called back from a well earned holiday despite objections from his wife and son, Adam, to investigate what was happening. He was accompanied on the mission by a small specialist team of old friend and senior biologist, Richard Brenner, Terra York, Novus' chief mechanic, and David Parker, space architect and designer of the brand new ship in which they would be travelling: the Constance. Additionally, there was an handful of soldiers who, Alvarez knew, had seen action in the previous war.
And they found the probe.
And there was something wrong -very wrong.

This well written and exciting S.F.story has an excellent balance of descriptive and explanatory text versus personality and action which gives an authenticity to the book, allowing for the explosive latter part to become that much more shocking. The continuing two books are equally intense, with more action, destruction, politics and self doubt. Whilst the main protagonist is not particularly likeable, he is very human allowing the reader to empathize with his despair if not necessarily with all of his choices.
An excellent way to read this trilogy, which is gripping and, consequently, recommended

Review of box set of 3 books

I haven't been given a free copy to write this, I bought the box set in kindle. Not giving any plot or anything away - this was a really well conceived set of ideas and the writing was really good - I didn't stumble over any grammar or writing errors enough to irritate me. This is proper science fiction not science fantasy...more in the style of space opera I enjoyed as a kid. Buy the books and enjoy the story, it's complete and doesn't leave you waiting for another set of books to be written. I'll be looking for more books by the same author which is probably the best recommendation a reader can give. It's a good story with a decent plot, good characters and plausible science....If you are reading this Allen, I think there is room for another story with some of the same characters, thank you for entertaining me for a few days!

A really excellent trilogy of books following Colonel John Alvarez as he fights to defeat Anti-Life. This is thrilling sci-fi with thrills and spills, intrigue, space battles, political deception, tragedy and more. Importantly though, there's hope. But how do you kill something that's already dead? How can you win a battle that you've already lost?

Excellent writing once again from Allen Kuzara. As I've come to expect, the characters are nicely developed and the world building is such that I can easily imagine everything I read. You feel like you're right there with Alvarez. My heart almost stopped a few times, though! Great stuff!

I am blown away (and somewhat repulsed) by the very different threat against humanity the author created. It is not quite the Angel cloud of Tim Zahn's 'Angelmass' or the Borg of Star Trek fame or the ever-popular zombie - somehow the author managed to combine all 3 into a very different, very scary threat. That puts the heroes of this series in a real tizzy trying to figure out what to do with that while trying to restructure human society and politics at the same time. What a treat for the reader who likes sci-fi that has more than 'smach, bang' in it. If you like L.E. Modesitt Jr.'s work, you ought to like this!

This is an amazing wrapped up in one box set for ultimate enjoyment! The author tells a wonderful story and does a fantastic job at bringing the world in his imagination to life so that it jumps from the book. The characters are wonderfully described and never once step out of character. This plot has so much adventure and action to go along with the pain of tragedy whilst still maintaining a good portion of hope. It’s an exciting read from the first page to the final page and I found that I didn’t want to put it down till I’d finished it and had my final “wow” moment!

This is the complete SF action adventure series on one collection.

A perfect opportunity to get a complete space opera series in one book without worrying about when the next volume comes out. The series is well written with solid characters and an engaging plot that draws you in and won't let go. You will be very happy to have all the books together, and yet you might have problems getting up the next morning after you read late into the night. Very addictive and very enjoyable.

Highly recommended.

This box set is the 1st time I've read anything written by Allen Kuzara; he has done an excellent job at writing a good set of books; I will definitely be reading more of his books.

The story lines caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the characters.

First I've read the books from my perspective of former military and it was ok: the fights, the action feel real. Second, as a thinker I envisioned everything as the fight between state and free citizens. It was a real experience to see that beaurocracy never gives up. And finally, as an action book, the HERO that sacrifices himself for humanity was very impressive. Read those books, you will not regret!

This is a unique idea for an adversary in space. I was left wondering how are they going to survive? This one stuck with me for a long while. I could not wait to read the entire series. I enjoyed the easy character building, immersion into the environment and the ability to relate to the characters. This made the book easy to read.

Action packed book! Colonel Alvarez is called back to duty for one last assignment. They are paying him a fortune for it, enough to start a new life with his wife and son somewhere else. The problem is that there are so many unknowns to this assessment it may end up costing him his life. Great read!

Good series

I enjoyed the series. I felt transported into their world and the characters' development allow the reader to relate to the waves of emotions they portray. The last part of the Entropy, the rescue, felt a bit rushed to me and the epilogue could have been more encompassing. Other than that, I liked this series.

Set aside a long weekend for this PG13 trilogy set in the not-so-far future when we have spread out to space but there is still the age-old conflict between individual freedom and state control.

The travels of John Alvarez. Anti-Life appears and deeply affects John's life and he desperately wants to fight and kill it, but how do you kill something that doesn't live ? An adventure in space with politicians who do not care about the people but only themselves.

A very fun read...

A very creative and entertaining trilogy. It was refreshing to read a book that had military folks and they weren't always dropping F-bombs. I can't imagine someone not enjoying these books. I definitely recommend!

All this destruction and need for total power because of the ego of one man who stumbled on the means to do so? The ultimate way of getting revenge for stealing your woman? The story was written well. I just didn't get into it.

Horrible ending

I thought the story had promise even though it was slow at times but the ending completely ruined the story. Complete rubbish.
