Loved the story.
After marrying Felix, Clarissa thought that things were going to get better. Unfortunately things just go downhill with Raven Queen kidnapping her Godmother. Clarissa's own powers are growing as she is learning to control them and find her Godmother, at the same time.
Felix is a memorable character, because it is just not clear on what side he is on.
The story was beautifully built and the characters were amazing. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Currently finished the "street team" copy of the newest Wombys series book. Hex Appeal that is due out on April 18th of this year.
This is an engaging story with all kinds of problems to overcome, because as we know in writing, without problems, or other interesting types of Plot, there IS no story.
Since Clarissa is not a "Merlin class" power in her understanding of her craft yet, we readers follow her through her losses and triumphs as she grows, learns, and evolves, possibly into the person she fears the most. (I doubt anyone could go through her trials and come out unscathed.) Along this journey she comes to understand some of the hows and whys of her mother's transformation.
She is still an underdog character that I look forward to reading her happy times and can empathize with her struggles. The other characters (like Thatch) have also grown on me as I learn more about him. He is doing his best to make her like a Sabra Cactus, able to defend herself when needed while retaining her sweet, soft self inside.

Clarissa can’t get past the disastrous Raven Court siege at her and Felix’s wedding. She feels guilty about what she did to survive her own kidnapping, and guilty about the dead, the injured and, most of all, the kidnapping of her fairy godmother. The story demonstrates the damage that guilt and resentment can do to a marriage, even one as magical as the newlywed Thatches’. All Clarissa can think of is becoming strong enough to wreak revenge. She knows she’s hurting Felix, and teaching her students is suffering as well. Before she’s ready, she and Felix must stage an emergency raid on the Raven Court. Still, they have amassed powerful magic and hope for the best. The encounter is so suspenseful, I couldn’t stop reading. True love will always win, right? Well, maybe. It doesn’t look good at the major cliffhanger end. I can’t wait to read #16!

Warning not a book for children. This an adult version of a Harry Potter type book.
At this point in the series, if you have not read the previous books, you will need to do so. There is so much that has happened and the journey cannot be recapped in a few sentences. You will be lost in this book otherwise. It also has a bit of a cliffhanger at the end for the next few books.
All that aside I love the book and the story line.
What kind of honeymoon do you want to have. Do you want to worry about keeping your job? How about helping your students? Rescuing your mom form the Queen of Darkness? That and are are part of Clarissa's honeymoon.

The 15th book in the series. Clarissa's grandmother has been captured by the Raven Court. Maddy needs a baby to give to the Crab King. The robot-like principal really, really hates Clarissa, so much that Clarissa has to stand trial before him. Vega, surprisingly, serves as her defense attorney.
We learn about the principal's dark past. The Princesses of Lies and Truth gets a shocking surprise. Now Clarissa has to work out what seems to be an impossible quest; free her mother from the Raven Queen without getting killed in the process. As usual, the characters are well done, the evil pretty blatant. entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series
This is a slightly darker entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. Great cast of characters in an entertaining storyline. Clarice is a daughter of a evil witch who used to be the headmaster at the school she now teaches that. She’s been trying to prove that she’s not an evil witch yet everything Including outside forces are trying to force her into becoming one. The Raven queen kidnapped her mother who was her adopted mother but still. She’s been trying to kidnap Clarice since she was a child. No she must figure out how to save her mother from the Raven queen and not lose her husband and her life in the process. Can she do it we shall see. Read on and follow the adventure

Now married to Felix Thatch, Clarissa should be enjoying the honeymoon stage of their relationship. Unfortunately, her fairy godmother was abducted by the Raven Queen. She ignores her duties as a teacher while practicing her magic to get stronger. Clarissa risks her life and that of her husband’s to attempt to retrieve her mother. The character I have grown to adore, Vega Bloodmire, continues to be supportive in her own snarky way and is actually the most consistent character. While Clarissa grows in her magical abilities, she seems to lose some of her kindness and caring for others that was so prevalent before.

Just about anything and everything that can go wrong for Clarissa after getting married has. The big one is that her Fairy Godmother has been lost to the Raven Queen. Every one she goes to for help is not helping and she does blow her top and loses her patience. She MUST get her Fairy Godmother back, she is, after all, the one who raised her! There are also other things going on that depends on Clarissa delivering the answers to the Fae Fertility Paradox! Can Clarissa get herself together to get this done? You will need to read the story for the answers. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.

I loved this book, as I do each one of the series. This one was so good I flew through it and now I have to wait a month to get the next one. Clarissa and Felix went to the Raven Queen's Castle to try to get her fairy godmother back before she was tortured/killed. There were a lot of surprises in this book!
What happened to Clarissa's fairy godmother was a shocker. Clarissa was allowed to leave the Raven court as she saved the Raven Queen's life. But Felix was not allowed to go with her. He told her not to come back and she said "I'll be back!" Can't wait for the next book! Best series I have read - recommend it to anyone who enjoys Fantasy. You won't be sorry!

Clarissa just wants to be a great art teacher but the new Principal has it in for her. He institutes new strict rules for all staff and they are subject to searches of their areas. He calls a meeting with her and Khaba intending to fire her. Clarissa brings Vega along who takes notes. It didn't turn out as he had planned.

Now she is trying to learn how to defeat the Raven queen in record time which isn't going well either. And the never ending question of whose side is Felix on? Will she be able to save her fairy godmother before it's too late? No spoilers here, you're going to have to read the book!

Clarissa would love to just relax and enjoy wedded bliss with her new hubby. Unfortunately, the Raven queen still has Clarissa's mom, and Clarissa needs to find a way to rescue her.
This book was great. There was non-stop action from start to finish, and lots of fun. The ending surprised me, but that sets the next book in the series up to take off with a boom. I highly recommend this book and this series. It is my favorite fantasy series!

If you expected happily ever after for Clarissa and Thatch you don't know Sarina Dorie very well. she's an author that keeps you guessing til the very end. Will Clarissa save her fairy godmother? Will Thatch be a loving husband? Will Clarissa even survive? I cried during the reading of this book and it's not the first time during this series. I just hope the next book makes me smile. Thank you Sarina for bringing us this story.

This book is the fallout of the disastrous wedding and consequent deaths of Derek and the loss of Vega's baby. The guilt and loss ways greatly for Clarissa and at first she does not even seen to love Felix anymore but can their love survive the real test...entering the Raven Court to rescue the fairy godmother. With a cliff hanger ending this book is a wave of emotions.

Oh. My. Goodness! That was freaking awesome! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading! I could NOT put this down! Clarissa is definitely coming to terms with her affinity. I love this series so much! I can’t wait to read the next book!!

I don't know if I want to see Clarissa to go all evil witch and bring down the Raven Queen, ,or just being her down as herself...maybe with a little help from her friends. I really need that to happen though! I am so invested in this series, it is awesome!

If you don't read the previous books in the series, you just won't have a full appreciation of the references and humor of this, Book 15. Start with 'Tardy Bells and Witches’ Spells' Book 1 for greatest enjoyment, and read sequentially in order.
As expected from the previous book "Wedding Bells and Midnight Spells", Clarissa and Thatch are working on magic to rescue Abigail Lawrence from the Raven Court. Clarissa also has a side effort to protect Maddy from the Crab King's debt. And another idea to negotiate with the Raven Queen for the release of Mrs. Lawrence. Guilt piles on guilt as Clarissa realizes all of her efforts have had the opposite effect she intended, causing more harm than good. The effort to save Mrs. Lawrence ends unexpectedly, in a cliffhanger leading to the next book.

I love it with everything that they have been through Clarissa and Thatch are not done yet. Just when you think that all is lost the action and adventure continues. More magic and the world they live in comes alive.
