The book Fundamental Gymnastics by Linda W. Bragg is about all of the moves and the preparation for gymnastics. It gives you tips and tells you how to complete the moves without getting injured. It had picture examples of step by step how to do the move. They had teenagers preforming the moves.
I thought that this book was very boring. I knew how to complete all the moves before I read this book so all I was really doing was re-learning what I already learned. Also, they didn't tell much about the moves which most developing gymnasts want to know. I think that the pictures were a good touch to the book because it shows how your arms and legs have to be in order to do that move. I think that this book would be better off for people who don't know how to do a lot of moves and are trying to learn new gymnastic moves to help them improve in their competitions.
I give this book a 1 out of 5 stars because I didn't like how they taught the moves. Also, I already knew these moves so it was very boring for me and I didn't learn anything new and I couldn't get involved with learning a new thing. Also, the pictures were a good touch, but they didn't really explain anything. They could have added more depth and detail about the pictures so that people have an easier time learning the move. I think that this book is good for any gymnast beginner in need of learning new gymnastic moves.
