Knox: Hearts Without Chains

KNOX
I crave chaos and live for pain.
Without my wings, no one would know I’m an angel.
My past is shrouded in rage. My future cloaked in darkness.
Bound to the earth by a curse I cannot escape, I seek vengeance.

Until her.
She captured my heart, without chains.
But I can’t have her.
She’s too broken... too young.
Too much... like me.

ANNIE
Fighting is all I know. It’s all I’ve ever known.
When I fight, I am alive.
A fire burns inside me, consuming, unrelenting.
It fuels my anger and feeds my soul.
But I need more.

Knox Fallon is an angel. It’s no secret to me.
I’ve seen his kind, and I’ve watched them bleed.
If he thinks he can rescue me
and save me from this life... he’s wrong.
I belong to someone else.
Someone who has the power to give me what I need.

Pain. It’s all I live for.

Good things come to those who wait. And the wait for the final installment of the Fallon brothers fallen angel series was definitely worth it. The last book focuses on Knox, dark, haunted, sexy and protective of his family and those vulnerable humans. Woe to those who call him an enemy, particularly himself. Knox is complicated, and this final story demonstrates this as he not only battles his on inner demons, fights with The Fray, but attempts to save Annie, who captivates yet scares him. I love Knox's character, and despite the fact that CLAY is my favorite, I'd say Knox has a special place in my heart. He's broody, he's mean, pushing everyone away, yet loves harder, more genuinely than any of the Fallon brothers. Julie is a masterful storyteller, weaving an intense, nail biting saga in four volumes. Her characters are all endearing, and her villains are simply sublime. You will LOVE to hate her villains. The culmination of this story had me smiling, crying, yelling, and swooning. It's a great adventure written by an amazing author.

Wow is all I can say
Save the best till last , definitely.
Will try not to leave spoilers .
Knox realy copped it this time bad , but his new lady love was a real surprise . All the arseholes got their just deserts and the last half of the book was so full of surprises and I couldn't put it down .
Then I got to the epilogue and boy did it explain so much ,. Brilliant writing as usual from this author and it never let me down .it seems to have been finalised but the epilogue leaves it open for more and I can't wait to see if there is another book coming . The whole 4 books were brilliant ...

🤩🤩🤩

As always Julie Ann Addicott has written a masterpiece. I loved Knox and Annie’s story. Knox was so much kinder and selfless than I originally imagined and I loved that aspect of his character. I loved Annie’s inability to express her emotions appropriately at times- it was a trait I found relatable. 😉
Loved these two!

I expected Knox’s book to be my favorite as I had high hopes for it. It was great, but I can’t say that I loved it as much as I thought I would. I didn’t think that he and Annie spent enough time together to form the unbreakable bond he was looking for. However, it was a really good story. The focus was more on the battle between the angels and the Fray. Everything comes to a head and all the loose ends are being tied. I ended up being surprised by a few things that I cannot mention so that I don’t spoil it for anyone, and I didn’t think anything would surprise me anymore. I also loved that Roman got his happy ending. His story was so weird as it ran parallel with everyone else’s, we always got his POV without him getting an actual book. I loved that.

First let me start by saying this :

Knox is mine.

Now for the good stuff. This book was an amazing ride. I didn’t think she could continue to keep me on the edge of my seat but, she proved me wrong! I stayed up till 2:45am finishing this book and it was well worth it!
I’ve been waiting to sink my teeth into this book and I am completely happy and satisfied with how everything tied together. Julie’s ability to weave in multiple storylines throughout the series is amazing. Her flow is impeccable. Descriptions are to die for. The pictures in my mind followed exactly how she portrayed them and I think that’s an amazing talent not everyone possesses.
Knox is a character I’ve been longing for. Each book before this had me craving more and more of him each time.
I can’t wait to continue following her journey and her work. An author worth following and if you haven’t sank your teeth into this series, I suggest you hop to it ASAP.
