After 23 novels of hard-nosed Spindrift science, the Spindrift scientists go woo. This was disappointing. Also, the mood of the story seemed to change in places, and in one spot I wondered if Rick was going to stumble on Scotty and Barby in flagrante delicto in the shadow of the rocket launcher.

Enjoyable but not at the level of the earlier volumes. If you're a collector, then of course this novel is a must-have.

Decent RB story, it handled the ESP like elements as they would handle other mysteries.
But I prefer it when the series stays with harder science.
Good wrap-up ending for the series.
