Books like this are so important. It has not been easy coming out, for many gay people. Our past history shows the violence and apathy of our country against it's own citizens, because of who you choose to love. I am so grateful and appreciative for those that spoke out. Those whose suffering, many times in silence and alone, that helped pave the way for more than tolerance. They fought for our acceptance. They fought to break the cycle of years of misunderstood and misconceived stereotyping that held so many of us hostage. I cant thank them enough.

By sharing their stories, their experiences and their lifestyles, it helps break that cycle. and helps many, still struggling, to feel not so alone. It gives us hope. Answering questions about coming out....first gay bar experience.....feelings about STD and AIDS...and many more....really helps others understand the individuality within the gay community, and how essential and wonderful it feels to be able to tell your story, without fear.

The answers to the questions in this book are diverse. Some will tug at your heart strings. Some will warm you from the inside. Some will make you cry. Some will make you laugh. All of them are a celebration and are encouraging and inspiring. Essential reading
