gifted to me and autographed by the author himself, this book was my first introduction to indigenous literature

A decently written independent novel; I bought the series from the author himself at a market. Intended for middle grade readers, but would probably recommend as a read aloud to allow for discussion. The first in a series. Not sure all students would latch on to this one, but I’m putting it in my classroom to see.

It's meant for kids and it is fun and adventurous. My only complaint is Jiminy-Willie-Peppers being overused and breaking the flow of the story.
